Equippable Nordic Armbands?

Hello,

I've been really wanting something along the lines of equippable armbands in the style of Tsun's armour and Ancient Nord Armour. Like-a This-a:

thread necromancy..... oh well, here goes.

Been looking for these myself. Haven't found the exact places, but here's some ideas:

There was a rework of Ancient Nordic armor here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6684 .

There are also dual armbands using a Dragonbone texture on the Mercenary armor and Barbarian armor.

That mod is now part of Immersive Armors

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19733

There are armbands as part of Barbarian, Barbarian 2, and Mercenary armours, but are not "separates".

However, exploring the barbarian 2 cuirass nif files, the dual armbands are a separate component called NPC L UpperArm. Same in the Mercenary file.

I believe it is possible to delete out the other components, leaving just these armbands, from which you can build your own objects using CK. Just copy the cuirass armor / armor addon / constructable objects, and point it to the NEW nif files you make when cutting down the old .nifs. Use the same texture files.

The Barbarian 2 armor will give you the nordic armbands, and the Mercenary version will give you the Dragonbone one.

I have extracted a sub-component using this method with another armor, and it worked perfectly. But you'll probably have to assign a new slot number in the .nif BSDismemberment, and CK Armor and ArmorAddon sections. Otherwise, when you equip the armbands, you'll probably unequip the main body armor!

The Hide Chieftain armour also has dual armbands, and there are retextures of that (sometimes called Scaled Armor).

Sadly the armband mesh is lumped in with the whole cuirass, so it means mesh editing in Blender. The right bicep is a different shape mesh too, so using the hide texture on one of the extracted armband models above almost certainly won't work.

I have also seen an image with twin armbands, and the poster said the armbands came from Combination Vanilla Outfit for UNP.

It implies they are separates, but I'd guess female only.

Edit: Confirmed. Yes, there are "dragonbonebangle"s, yes they are female only. And they look too small a diameter to fit male.

Also contains the Tsun arrmour gauntlets as gauntlets. And a second version that has just the lowest ring of the Tsun gauntlets. Only one .nif file, probably female, but the geometry is probably loose enough to be unisex.

As for verified finds:

There is a single "Dragon Bracelet" for the right bicep available from Hoamaii's Chaurus Mashup:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35333/

It takes slot 50 (no clashes), and you can see it clearly in the 5th pic on the images tab. Dragonbone texture.

Completely unexpectedly, there are some superb unique armbands in Ashara Dimonised Dress and Jewelry

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14146

At first glance, this is another female bling mod, but the author has made all of the jewelry for males too! And it has weight sliders. The armbands change as your dude's biceps grow. Best of all, the armbands are in slots 58 and 59, so they don't clash with anything else.

The Falmer Eye is a little too pretty (image 5), but the dragon versions using the skyrim emblem are excellent (image 4). All versions available in gold and silver, and in game they look quite stunning. Perhaps more like jewelry than armor, but still very nice. If you want to pretend that the falmer eye versions are some sort of magical shield emitter, then they could work for you too.

As for the Tsun wire armband / amulet, I haven't found this anywhere. I did find an armor that had it stripped out, and there is a lovely retex if ever I'm able to adjust the original mesh. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36336 But learning Blender is a step beyond deleting Blocks in nifscope.....

It's possible the mod Mariohuricane21 knows of above has been hidden/removed by a nexus author. There seem to be quite a few mods "gone missing" these days. And, my searches have not come close.
