MyPoorDeadSeamus
So, I installed a Tale of Two wastelands, having been lead to believe that it would improve the performance of my game, however, recently I chose to uninstall it in favour of using NVEC, however, after doing so I found myself without a main menu, and the game freezing on startup. Not crashing to desktop, the audio would play, but if I alt-tabbed it would crash when I tried to return, and if I didn't alt-tab there was no main menu when the intro had finished. After trying to determine which mod was causing this it would appear to be the "NVEC NVCE PN COMBO Patch". I can't think of a good reason as to why that would be causing such an issue, and it did seem to work before my installation/uninstallation of a Tale of Two Wastelands. I'd assume that I've uninstalled it incorrectly, but since I'm unsure as to where the problem may lie, I would request assistance. Any help would be appreciated! senterpat
Your first mistake was uninstalling ttw for Nvec. Especially since Nvec has a ttw patch. But your issue sounds like your patch is out of date. Hanging at the main menu is usually caused by a mod(usually a patch) trying to access info in its master that's no longer there.
MyPoorDeadSeamus
I don't think it's out of date, I've downloaded the one that's currently on the mod page. Would reinstalling TTW help? I didn't know there was a patch for NVEC for it! EDIT: Found out what the problem was! I installed NVEC the wrong way around, I figured that if it wasn't the patch it was probably something to do with the main file! Thank you very much for your help! Kudos for you, methinks! :D Edited May 24, 2013 by MyPoorDeadSeamus
