All ENB's do not work, please help!

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Dovahkiins',

I come to you with a frustrating problem. All ENB's do not work for me. I have the legal copy of Skyrim from Steam, and is completely up to date. The main problem of the ENB's not working is the Sunrays do not work, they do not display them selves.

I of course use the correct version of the ENB for the respective ENB pre-set, but it appears as a large ball in the sky that is just blinding and produces NO sunrays at all.

It is not a hardware problem as I have a very high-end gaming PC, and these ENB's used to work, but now don't. I have tried re-installing the game (By also deleting ALL files related to Skyrim and started new games to test it, none work. I just want the sun rays, but to no avail will they display. Any help will be much appreciated!

Try this in enbseries.ini from ENB 132 onwards

[sKY]
Enable=true

DisableWrongSkyMath=true

SunIntensity=0.7
SunDesaturation=0.29
SunCoronaIntensity=0.0
SunCoronaCurve=10.0
SunCoronaDesaturation=0.0

[RAYS]
SunRaysMultiplier=0.6 //increase this if you want bigger rays

Hi, I've the same problem: sunglare shows up throught objects when i turn up the sunrays ENB option. I've followed all the guides found on the web to fix the problem:

- I've put bFloat....=1 in Skyrimprefs

- My driver should be compatible (314.22)

- I've tried differnt ENB (0.119, 0.132, 0.168) but the problem remains

- I've tried prod80 method but it is still there

- The sunrays used to work 2 months ago with the same spec.

I've an Nvidia Gt 650m. Any suggestion? Could it be a Skyrim patch problem?
I've the Steam versione of the game, with Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC.

I think you have modified the wrong SkyrimPrefs.ini file...

Do not change the one inside Skyrim folder, you need the one in My Documents\My Games\Skyrim

Make sure you have bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 in there.

In enbseries.ini make sure that ForceFakeVideocard=false

In enbseries.ini make sure that suncorona is set to 0.0 ... corona goes right through some objects, annoying.

Try 314.07 WHQL drivers (if compatible with your gfx card)

Edit: Other than that, make sure all forms of Anti-Aliasing (FSAA, FXAA, llalalalllaaa) are disabled in your Nvidia control center, and make sure that in Skyrim they are also disabled completely.

I've followed your advices and everything was correct, but the problem stays still.
It seems that the sunrays are only created behind clouds, in this image i've turned up sunrays intensity to make them more evident (sunrays appear in front of a rock):

here a pic of the sky to compare: the same "shadow" of the cloud is upon the rock. Weird.

That's really odd because even the ENB developer says it cannot have any other reason.. Are you using only pure ENB or you also have other overlays (SMAA, RCRN, etc) installed? Do you also have this issue using the basic ENB settings/fx files as downloaded from the ENB website (so, everything that is normally in the Wrapper folder)? Have you tried to use the Injector version instead (mind the difference in installation instructions)?

I cannot think of other reasons as I replied above.. you might wanna put all this on ENB forums bug reports to get help from one of the specialists over there to give more insight into this. Im pretty sure its a simple setting somewhere being overlooked.

I have tried every single ENB past V 0.113, and none work. Could the rays not be displayed because I'm using a sun texture replacer?
