Broken archery aiming

So I installed Skyrim se for the first time yesterday and decided it would be fun to start and archery playthrough, however when I drew my bow I was met with some weird positioning. my arrow doesn't even seem remotely in line with the crosshairs and my arrow seems to shoot way under it, making it feel like my bow is strung with string cheese.
