MOD Size Too Large For Xbox. What did I do?

Recommended Posts

Hey there. I didnt realize I was posting in the wrong forum this whole time. I was sent from here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/9983603-new-mod-testing/

So I decided to try and learn the CK. I have been working on my mod for over a month. I've gotten some help from a few people on here and got permission to use parts of someone else's mod and with his instruction I made the necessary changes. So, my mod. Its actually not that big, I've seen way bigger player homes. My Player Home BSA is 26.6MB. The texture BSA however is a whopping 1.31GB. The home uses ALL vanilla textures. I have 2 rooms full of initially disabled display weapons and armor that when the weapon or armor rack is activated, the display piece appears. The pieces are new forms but use vanilla textures from the unpacked BSA texture folders. The rest of the house is all vanilla components. I even ran it through SSEEDIT. Still huge after some corrections. Please help me.

Yeah, you don't want to pack any assets you didn't actually add yourself. Meaning that if you didn't use any new textures you don't even need a bsa for textures. You'll also want to comb through your meshes bsa. The CK's auto packer is notorious for just grabbing any loose files that are associated with anything you've touched in the mod. It often picks up assets that may be from someone else's mod (such as texture/mesh replacers).
