Komnemnos
Hey there, right now when I access steam for my NMM modded skyrim it does not see it as installed and insists on me reinstalling it for some reason. So are there any fixes to it or do I have to back up my nexus mods and reinstall the game?
prod80
Steam and NMM have only 1 thing in common - they are both supporting Skyrim. Other than that they are not related to eachother. So your actual issue is that Steam does not see that Skyrim is already installed on your system ... you might have more luck posting/searching this issue over here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_cat.php?id=
NemesisTheWarlock
My strong advice would be to NOT allow Steam to touch your game right now. It may be about to break it for you, happened to me a few months back.Check that you are still showing in the library on Steam as having the game installed, if not, contact Bethesda and tell them that Steam has removed your access to the game and contact Steam to see if they'll tell you what's gone wrong, but on no account let Steam change ANYTHING until your sure it's ok. It took me over a month to get access to my game again. See this thread for more information. Edited May 21, 2013 by NemesisTheWarlock
prod80
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6658-WYPA-2040 - - - - -If you moved your Steam folder, you may need to delete the clientregistry.blob file as it may contain your previous Steam installation path, which can cause this issue. This can also happen if you have Steam installed to multiple locations. Please complete the ClientRegistry.blob guide. When you start Steam, it will re-create ClientRegistry.blob and imprint it with your new install location.- - - - - Could be the issue... Steam looking in the wrong location...
NemesisTheWarlock
prod80 is correct, that can resolve your issue nice and simply and you should try it first :)
Komnemnos
<p>Hmm I tried deleting the ClientRegistry.blob but it doesn't help, Skyrim is still not listed as installed by steam. Edit: Steam still shows that I own the game so no issues with usage.</p> Edited May 21, 2013 by Third
