Lebenstein
Hey! I've never added mods before and I'm trying to install a plugin I've created with the GECK for my Fallout New Vegas. I've tried to add the plugin through the "Data files" section of the Fallout New Vegas start menu, but it didn't show in-game. I've tried installing the plugin with Nexus Mod Manager, but it still won't show. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do?
krigulv
what does your mod do? there are many possible reasons you won't see it in game.for example, if you've placed something in Goodsprings after you have already been to Goodsprings in your game, you will need to wait for the area to refresh
Lebenstein
Basically, all I've done is create my own mods with the GECK. Basic modding really. You know. Like creating a killer weapon and place it in the general store. Now I'm trying to get these into the game. I've tried many things including starting a new game, but what I created with the GECK and placed in Goodsprings never appeared. I'm wondering if the current save directory for the mods inside the Nexus Mod Manager might have something to do with it? Also, when I start the Nexus Mod Manager, it always asks me this: " 'fallout.ini' is read-only. so it can't be managed by Nexus Mod Manager. Would you like to make it not read-only? " What should I do with that?
