New Model problem

So firstly, I've had a helluva day. I remapped the Megaton Bar, pushed and pulled verts and faces all day only to have it puke errors all over me in NifSkope and GECK. So meh, that was that...

 

I found the 3dsmax nif plugin to import .nif's directly into max. Awesome! Before, I was doing the nifskope obj export/import dealy... So with the nif imported into max, the bar, I wanted to try out a simple test before I killed another day. All I did was export it. I don't know what the settings should be in the nif export dialogue but, whatever, just going with it so left it at the deafult.

 

In the GECK, create a new object pointing to my newly exported nif and there we go, blank. Not even an error. Just nothing there. Tried adding the textures still nothing.

 

So what's up?

 

Oh I'd like to add that after inmporting the nif megaton bar in max, I was able to easily apply it's original dds texture to it and render it so from the perspective it seems to import fine.

Max nifplugin issue

 

hopefully it will be fixed soon but basically, collision exported with max doesnt function in-game. and no, it cant be fixed. you'll need to copy the coll mesh from a vanilla model or export you're model for Oblivion and then use that collision on the f3 model

Having the same issue, and haven't gotten the copy & paste over NifSkope workaround to work. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone smarter than I comes by and finds a way.
