Steam Crashes (Not Responding) When Skyrim Closes

Whenever I close Skyrim, Steam becomes completely unresponsive and requires me to delete the process in the Task Manager. Windows 7, 64bit. It happened even from just closing that launcher I think. No other games cause Steam to act like this, and it does nto seem to fix itself over time.

It started the very first times I opened Steam when I started a second playthrough after a long absence. I think I had subscribed to a few mods before opening it for this first time, but none of those first ones are active anyone I don't think. Possibly, that Enhanced Mighty Dragons mod has been installed and active the whole time.

Anyone have any idea what might fix this?

And by uninstall you mean delete all of Steam's game data, and redownload? I guess I could try backing it up, and then deleting/restoring the backup.

But for right now I am just verifying the integrity of my files, will see if that has an effect.

I think I did a verify right before I started playing again, but it found one file and when I opened it it refound my video hardware (so maybe it was just detecting a changed default settings file???).
Whatever it was it fixed it.
