wisnoskij
Whenever I close Skyrim, Steam becomes completely unresponsive and requires me to delete the process in the Task Manager. Windows 7, 64bit. It happened even from just closing that launcher I think. No other games cause Steam to act like this, and it does nto seem to fix itself over time.It started the very first times I opened Steam when I started a second playthrough after a long absence. I think I had subscribed to a few mods before opening it for this first time, but none of those first ones are active anyone I don't think. Possibly, that Enhanced Mighty Dragons mod has been installed and active the whole time.Anyone have any idea what might fix this? ravenspeak
I have this exact same problem. I've just uninstalled skyrim and i'm reinstalling it to see if that will fix it. I'll comment if it works.
ravenspeak
Uninstalling and re-installing worked.
wisnoskij
And by uninstall you mean delete all of Steam's game data, and redownload? I guess I could try backing it up, and then deleting/restoring the backup. But for right now I am just verifying the integrity of my files, will see if that has an effect. wisnoskij
I think I did a verify right before I started playing again, but it found one file and when I opened it it refound my video hardware (so maybe it was just detecting a changed default settings file???).Whatever it was it fixed it.
