LE A FASCINATING, COMPELLING MOD IDEA

The basic idea: an Altmer finds himself waking up in the cart on the way to his execution (vanilla start). However, he cannot remember his past. He doesn't even know his true age, given that Altmer can live a very long time. As he progresses through the game, he learns bits and pieces of his past.

 

His past: he was a very powerful Mage in Summerset Isle. His associate turned out to be a very ambitious and unscrupulous Mage who betrayed our Hero, causing him to lose his memory from the last hundred years and dumping him on the border of Skyrim. Luckily for the betrayer, our Hero was almost immediately picked up by the Imperials and taken away for execution.

 

As our Hero progresses through the game, he learns not only that he is, in fact, the Dragonborn, a characteristic that his Betrayer was aware of yet kept from him using powerful spells, but also the identity of his betrayer, plus certain new spells that turn out to be exceedingly more powerful than the vanilla variety and uncovers the plot his betrayer set into motion to cause most of Tamriel to submit to the Betrayer's twisted rule. Our Hero, of course, must find a way to put an end to all of this. In his journeys, he also discovers that some of his past activities were not all that beneficial to others, causing him to sink into profound fits of depression every so often, but ultimately motivating him even more powerfully to find a solution to all of this. Of course, when the Thalmor discover what potential power rests in the spells available to our Hero, they want this for themselves, forcing our Hero to battle them as well.

 

This MOD can be expanded at the will of the designer. This outline is merely the fundamental basis for the MOD. If any are interested in pursuing this avenue of design, please contact me. I will probably have even more ideas to flesh out this story and its characters.
