SolaireFlair
I'm positive I don't have any mods like that, so I'm at a complete loss.
AzureWolfe
Don't know if you ever figured this out, but after some searching I found out that the mp3s need to be 128kbps (bit rate).Since their wasn't an answer here I thought I'd post in case someone stumbled here looking for answers (like I did). discovery1
curious thing, I dumped all the skyrim music (converted to mp3) in my oblivion music folder by mistake, and it all plays , randomly but none the less it all plays. It has all ended up in its respective folders - public etc. although the file names are not correct, it still plays and is actually quite refreshing given the random nature of the skyrim music. Arhedee
I doubt I'll get a response from this, seeing as this last post is almost a year old. But it's worth a try. curious thing, I dumped all the skyrim music (converted to mp3) in my oblivion music folder by mistake, and it all plays , randomly but none the less it all plays. It has all ended up in its respective folders - public etc. although the file names are not correct, it still plays and is actually quite refreshing given the random nature of the skyrim music. What are the properties of the mp3s you used? Standard sample rate is 320kbps, oblivion's vanilla music is, I believe, 192kbps.
DrakeTheDragon
I don't know about the bit rate really being required to be a certain single one, or if it's rather a range of allowed rates Oblivion will accept, but I do know for certain from several help request topics in the past that Oblivion basically 'detests' ID3 tags and other meta data in the file headers of its MP3 files for background music.
