Why is LOOT drastically changing my load order anytime I add a mod?

I always used to use BOSS, even after it stopped being updated; I would use its load order as a template and then manually place plugins in from there.

Now LOOT seems to be a whole different animal...When I first ran it, the load order was drastically different from the one I used to see from BOSS, which I thought is odd, considering it is the successor. I add in a mod or two and run LOOT again, and suddenly my whole load order changes.

 

Plugins would move up two spaces or down two spaces, some mods went up or down at least 20 places in my load order....what?!

 

I also noticed that my LOOT installation does not have the log files, though I did install the latest version. I would like to know: What is everyone's load order looking like after they run LOOT and is this a normal occurrence?

BOSS only sorted by using a list, and placed mods according to a static list.

 

LOOT places mods by actually looking at what the mod does and places the according to the other mods you use, so yes drastic changes can happen when adding mods.

 

LOOT should open the LOG in your Browser...what are you using for a browser..Mine opens in Chrome with no problems. Since LOOT is dynamically sorting our mods no 2 load orders are going to be the same any more.
