I take the Right Steps, But Mods Don't Work.

None of the mods I install are working. None at all. I just tried a very simple but obvious one to make sure - Septim HD.

I installed this with NMM, activated it, it successfully activated yet it's not working. I also manually installed Skyrim Realistic Overhaul but it doesn't appear in the plugins tab in NMM.

My specs: I recently got a new computer so everything is fresh.

GTX 770 GPU

8GB 2300MHZ RAM

i5 4690k 4.4GHZ CPU

I installed my legendary edition of Skyrim to my downloads folder. Inside that Skyrim folder would be Mods, Mods Info, The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. And of course, we know what's inside those folders. My Skyrim is version 1.9.32. I also have LOOT since I had to edit the priorities in metadata after I installed all the unofficial patches.

If there's any other info I can provide, please tell me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it helps to add, I also have the official high resolution textures. I've also installed A Quality World Map, Footprints, all the Unofficial Patches, Sounds of Skyrim, SMIM and Skyrim HD 2K Textures all in (roughly) that order.

There has been a tonne of other mods I've installed and re-installed, but those are what I currently have and what I most recently (re)installed. All the others are deleted.

It's in my downloads folder. I've watched tutorial after tutorial. I'm well acquainted with the process of downloading mods, manually or through NMM, but they still don't seem to work. I 'think' that the footsteps mod works, but I'm not sure.

If footsteps don't appear in snow whatsoever for vanilla, then yes, that mod works, but not any others to my knowledge. I try to do a compare and contrast between the mods I install before and then after- none of them difer.

Sounds are the same, visuals are the same, maps are the same. Nothing changed.

Well I download my mods through NMM.

But as I said in the OP, I have the Skyrim folder, then inside that folder are three other folders- The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Mods, Mods Info.

The Skyrim data folder is inside The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim folder.
