Ayzial
Basically the title. I've been experiencing lag outdoors only when I exit interiors. However, if I alt tab out of the game and back in, zero lag. Has anyone had a similar issue to this before and figured out what's causing it? afboak
I have been experiencing something similar (thread further down), but was trying different memory settings per the suggestion given to me. If it happens again I will try the alt-tab method to see if I get the same result. Edited October 24, 2014 by afboak
camaro_69_327
Open Console (~) and type PCB is about the same thing , PCB = Purge Cell Buffers works for some.....IF you run an ENB, has a key bound to Free VRAM ((think it was (*) numpad star. IF that is working (ALT/TAB) then you may just be filling your VRAM to its limit.
afboak
Yep, I can confirm that my lag issue reported on the other thread is the same as yours. And the same quick-fix ALT-TAB'ing out and back into the game resolves it. I will try camaro's purge cell buffers trick the next time it happens. There's no reason I should be running out of VRAM in an area that normally runs at maximum FPS. If this is truly a VRAM issue it would guess the memory being used by the interior cell is not being properly cleaned up during the transition to the outdoors, particularly since this is a random occurrence. I've had it happen the very first time I walked in and out of a building, and then try to make it happen going indoors/outdoors using the same building over and over and my FPS just keeps humming mightily along.
