Benchapicho
So I wanted to take an armor set from a mod and tweak its values/enchants and so I went into the creation kit and duplicated the pieces, did my changes, saved them, but when I put them on my character they are invisible. I've looked at the tutorials and googled, youtubed and nothing has helped. Any ideas? Also when I try to change to the correct AA thing for the armor the CK doesn't save it for some reason. Seriously at my wits end.
AfriCanuckinOz
I have had this issue myself. A few thoughts. You say the armor is from a mod? 1. Make sure your mod esp. is loaded after the master mod. 2. If the armor is packed in a .bsa file (original mod), it is best to extract it with BSAOpt, pack it in loose files (i.e. the meshes and textures folders in /data, and then via the CK correctly set the pathways to the meshes. Sometimes this means adding a texture file to associate with the armor set (although the mesh will usually find the textures if placed in the correct folder) Then, also make sure the armor is not gender specific for the opposite gender, as this renders it invisibleMake sure the AA file specifies the correct body parts (had an issue myself where the boots included the body, and you can guess the rest)In the Armor file click the "show all" box, and make sure there is no other mesh conflicting with your mesh. Try these, and see if it helps
Benchapicho
Alright so the .esp is loaded after the master, but I'm not sure if I've got the correct pathways to the meshes in the CK. I'm in the object window and when I double click the items the AA is gone even though I put the correct one in and saved it. I clicked show all and there's still nothing, although in the object window under "users" there's a zero which is what makes me think I don't have the meshes lined up properly, and I can't find the thing that lets me do that. Oh and I do have the correct gender.
AfriCanuckinOz
OK. I think you'll have to start by making sure you have the AA sorted out. Open in "edit" mode, find the meshes you want to use, and make sure they have their textures showing up, otherwise create the custom texture, and link it to the AA.Then open the Armor, and drag the AA into the file window.Do "Preview" to confirm it shows up. Th zero only means the item is not yet used in the game (so once you have a npc wearing it, it will say "in use by one...") See if that helps
Benchapicho
Alright I'll try that. Thanks for your help(:
RGMage2
Looking at your first post it appears to me that you duplicated the armors and are trying to point them to the original Armor AA from the other mod, am I right? If so then that is the problem and would explain why the Armor AA isn't saving, because it doesn't actually exist in your mod, it exists in the other mod. You would need to duplicate the Armor AA as well and point the duplicated armor to the duplicated Armor AA. If you have already done that then just ignore me.
