PC complete freeze during skyrim

Sorry for posting what must be the billionth "skyrim pc freeze" topic. I've read through a number of them but couldn't figure out whether my problem was among them, so here goes.

Twice now Skyrim has completely frozen my pc, esc or alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del doesn't work. Only option is to reboot my pc by pushing the power button. Both times it happened was in my Windstad Manor after being in there for a few minutes. A slight slowdown and buzzing noise would start for a second or two before the pc completely freezes. At that point sound is also gone. Both times it happened after playing for roughly an hour.

I got:

GPU: GTX 960 2GD5T OC

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz

16 GB RAM

Skyrim runs on an SSD.

My list of plugins:

I think all mods are compatible, but I may be mistaken?

I hope someone can help me, thank you so much in advance! Let me know if you need more info!

vram1974, thanks for the OneTweak tip, it works really nicely!

So I installed ENBoost and after a few hours of playing I haven't gotten the freeze yet I described earlier. At first it introduced some stutters, but they were pretty much solved by playing borderless.

However, I've gotten CTD twice in an hour whereas that rarely happened before. I'm not sure what to tweak in ENBoost to fix this. I already capped the FPS limit at 60.

Just to verify, my GPU has 2GB so I chose the 2GB VRAM version of ENBoost. But when I load up Skyrim it tells me I have 4GB of texture memory. Those two things are different and I chose the correct ENBoost version, right?

Oh and I have:

ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
These are the generally recommended settings, right?

I would recommend loot for sorting now. The author of boss has left boss alone and been working on loot. Also i would try using skse (skyrim script extender) that will give you the memory patch to make skyrim run with more memory at its disposal.

And the vram is 2gb but it can have another 2gb from shared memory. Enboost is good for loading textures in skyrim, but your likely having issue from your memory blocks filling to quickly.

Thank you Saizetsu, I put my first memory block to 512 (so 768 in the skse.ini I had yet to create!) while leaving the second one at 256. From what I've read this is most often recommended. I'll let you guys know how this works out.

Thanks guys, I've played for a few hours now without any of my aforementioned problem.

But while I'm at it, please bear with another question. For some reason in my Active Effects list the Lover's Comfort and Father's Love are listed but the Time Left column says "-" even though I rested like a second ago and the game told me I got these buffs. However, buffs like Gift of Charity or any potion do have their corresponding countdown. Given that it's only these two buffs, any ideas what could be causing this? I already tried the resurrect command, which did get rid of the buffs but didn't restore the timer after resting.

EDIT: Also, the Father's Love buff, while being listed as an active effect, doesn't increase my health gain from a potion... Unless the listed amount of HP it restores isn't updated while the buff is active.

The lovers comfort is from being married or well from dovahkin relax mod. I dont think it gives any actual benefit just allows you to use the power for relaxing and hug your spouse or some such.

I dont believe itll update for potions, but it is otherwise a benign effect if nothing else something to ignore.
