Skyrim Random CTD's

Nothing new or shocking, as much as I love Bethesda, their games ARE known for their bugginess.

However lately it seems to have gotten worse. I used to be able to run it and only crash or freeze very infrequently maybe once every 2-3 hours, if not 4-6 hours. Now I can hardly go into combat and open my inventory without it freezing, and apparently looting some bodies makes the game crash. I have to make sure that I load into a small cell, such as a shop or another interior cell, or my game will never finish loading.

Computer Details:

My computer is a bit old, she's older than Skyrim and New Vegas, but she's been upgraded some, and so far the only game she hasn't been able to run at all was DA: Inquisition. Everything else, I may have to play on lower graphics, but I can still play. Skyrim, Dead Space, Mass Effect, Dragon Age 2, FO:3, FO: NV, all work.

Game Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

She is a Toshiba Satellite L645D

AMD Turion II p540 Dual-Core processor 2.40 GHz.,

*GB Ram

64bit operating system

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

I also have the anitfreeze patch installed but it apparently isn't working. I'm not sure what happened, but for some reason the text indicating that it's working has stopped appearing on the main menu.

I've been using NMM to install mods, as well as using FNIS and LOOT. I've ran the Perma Patcher to refit this load order to see if that helps hasn't seemed to.

I am also using Wryebash and DID just realise I haven't remade my bashed patch, so I'm going to try that and see if that works.

Update: So I remade the bashed patch and this came up during it. Didn't say it was an error, but not sure what this means:

ubyte format requires 0 <= number <= 255
<bash.brec.ModWriter instance at 0x0B34AF80> LLCT B (327,)
ubyte format requires 0 <= number <= 255
<bash.brec.ModWriter instance at 0x0B34AEB8> LLCT B (325,)

I have noticed that everytime I go to verify my game cache, the file installscript.vdf seems to fail to validate for some reason.

Here is my load order:

Here is the latest crash log:

I would turn Papyrus logging off. One less thing for your computer to do.

As usual, the checklist:

1. Did you install or remove mods recently?

2. Did you add textures that are too large for your video card? (cumulative effect works, too)

3. Do you have the standard anti-crash downloads installed?

4. Have you cleaned your save with Save Game Script Cleaner?

5. Have you configured your ini files properly?

6. Have you made any edits to module files?

1: Uninstalled some armor mods, updated PerMa, but that's it.

2: That I have no idea, but anytime there are options I go for the medium-low res options

3:I think so? I have all the Unofficial Patches and like I said the Antifreeze ENB thing, if there are others I'm not aware of them

4:No, hadn't even heard of that before, thank you, will try that.

5:I think so? How could I check that?

6:No.

How do I turn Papyrus Logging off?

Wait, I thought that was what made the crash reports?

The Papyrus log isn't a crash report. It merely shows you what the game script is doing, so it isn't terribly helpful unless you're an expert in that programming language.

Ironically, there's a new ini download in the recent files section. Logging is off by default:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68477/?

Crashing is usually due to inadequate memory allocation or mod conflict.

Using Loot and downloading things like the latest ENB, SKSE are the most helpful, while Safety Load, Stable uGridstoLoad, MemoryBlocksLog also help.

Bashed patch isn't really something that fixes CTDs but it will allow you to merge some mods and levelled lists.

If something went wrong with that ini file then you can just revert back to your old one.

Ini tweaks can be tricky as everybody's system seems to like things a bit different from everyone else's. Here is a guide if you want to look into it more, keep in mind that if you totally bork up your ini files, you can delete them and the game will generate new ones, just remember you have to use the default launcher for that to work.

You said initially that the "Anitfreeze Patch" isn't working anymore, are you referring to ENBoost? If you aren't getting the dialogue with the version number when you first start the game, something is missing; check your main Skyrim folder, at a minimum you should see: d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, and enblocal.ini.

On that note, make sure your enblocal is set up correctly, look here for details on that.
