  1. I'm still desperately looking for help on this. I can't figure out which mod is doing it, but something is taking away agression toward Vampires. Can anyone help me figure it out?
  2. If you're using an illegal copy of Skyrim, it's possible that it's outdated enough to be crashing when you run Skyrim. "Purchase Skyrim and play the legit way to avoid these kind of problems" would be the answer you should get, but we've all been there. The problem you're experiencing is that, most likely, Skyrim's version is conflicting with Dawnguard's. Make sure your copy of "Skyrim" is up to date.
  3. Try asking on Brehanin's mod's page: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9717 They're very helpful. It sounds like you've corrupted yourself though. Did you not follow the updating guidelines? They're there for a reason. In the MCM menu (if you have it), reset the mod under Troubleshooting. Save your game after it finishes. Exit Skyrim, uninstall Better Vampires. Load your game, save again. Exit Skyrim and reinstall Better Vampires 6.1, then load your new save and try getting everything going.
  4. I'd put my money on Open Cities, White Run Trees, and Detailed Cities working against each other as a problem.
  5. My guess would be maybe it's a quest mod. Have you tried waiting a day or so, then progressing and seeing if you still crash?
  6. I'm currently using Brehanin's Better Vampires, and I've encountered an issue I can't seem to resolve. The mod's settings have me hated by all at Stage 1 vampirism, and even when at stage 1, I am not being attacked/hated by anyone. I have spoken with the incredibly helpful mod author, but they are unaware of what might be the cause, other than possibly something else modifying my factions in a way that would stop everyone from attacking me. If any talented problem sleuths are able to help and up for the challenge, I'd be incredibly grateful. Here is my current load order:
  7. After a night of disabling/enabling mods, I've narrowed it down to a handful of possible troublemakers. My guess is that this may be a problem with several/any Whiterun remade mods. No idea why though.
  8. Does the problem occur sometimes after you alt+tab out of Skyrim, then back, or is it a constant issue? If the former, hit escape to pause Skyrim, then ~ to further pause Skyrim when you alt+tab. This will stop the problem from happening. If the latter, there's something you can change in the .ini file that outright stops this problem. My brother had the same problem (constantly, irregardless of alt+tab), and that solved it. Unfortunately I can't remember which shadow option in the .ini file this was... An alternative fix might be a realistic lightning mod. Since downloading one, I've yet to have this issue (in alt+tab) even once. Maybe it'll do the same for you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30450/
  9. No followers, and this character has never had one. He's also not a vampire or werewolf, and has never been one.
  10. I've been researching this for the past few days, and it appears to be a problem experienced both because of mods, and because of regular Skyrim. The problem I'm having is, after completing Taking Care of Business for the Thieves Guild, and after following Brynjolf to the Cistern, I'm labeled as tresspassing, Mercer isn't standing in the center of the room, and Brynjolf just goes, "Hmm". I've tried re-running the quest different ways, and I've even gone back to a save I made just before getting stopped by the guard (the one running the entrance scam) outside Riften, then going through everything again. This means that it's likely to be some kind of mod issue, but from what I've read, there are maybe multiple mods that cause this problem? I just can't figure out what the problem is >< Can anyone help? Here's my mod loadout, if it's necessary:
  11. Thanks for the help, Starfire! After working to figure out what the mod in question was, I found it was Expanded Winterhold Destruction (2.16 and 2.19 both caused this issue.) The oddest part is I have not updated this file until just recently (now, to test it out.) I've been on 2.16 for a very long time, and have not experienced this problem. I can only assume it's a conflict with another mod and EWD.
  12. Updates: The problem begins to overlap after going in and out several times. The weirdest thing thing though, I tried to summon, and once the summon was finished, the blue overlay disappeared, perhaps from the summon flash graphic effect? I'm still looking for help to solve this issue.
  13. I'm trying to find out what mod is causing this, any help is greatly appreciated! The problem is that, while in the Winterhold area (and perhaps any winter-based area), a blue overlay is placed over my screen -- as if it was some kind of weather effect. It seems to happen as a weather effect starts, but no amount of waiting so far has made it go away. Traveling elsewhere, like to Riften or Whiterun, removes the effect. The effect returns when I travel back to Winterhold. What's more, this effect not only carries on inside interiors, but has also started while in an interior (and while talking to someone.) The following is my mod load order: GameMode=Skyrim Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm WinterholdDestruction.esm moonpath.esm ApachiiHair.esm Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm Dragonborn.esm SPIKE.esm ETaC - RESOURCES.esm HearthFires.esm ArchmageTolfdir.esp Arrowsmith.esp Dr_Bandolier.esp BatTravel.esp Luggage.esp ExpandedWinterholdRuins.esp FlansEyesForSkrim.esp HoodlessDragonpriestMasksPlus1_0.esp HoodlessDragonpriestMasks1_0.esp TelekinesisImproved-LessDMG.esp Chesko_LoreBasedLoadingScreens.esp iMaxPlayerRunes004.esp moonpath_questdata.esp Reduced Distance NPC Greetings.esp Quest_NoMercy.esp RealisticCarryWeight.esp SoS - The Wilds.esp TactlessToxins.esp Tamriel Compendium.esp WhiterunREVISION.esp WhiterunFortified.esp RRBetterWhiterunInt.esp Teleport.esp MiningforMagesEasy.esp Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp Brawl Bugs CE.esp MasterTheTimeAndSpaceTOGGLE.esp Revamped Vampire Lord.esp VLCollisionFix.esp Tamriel Compendium - Skill Books.esp DYNAVISION Dynamic Depth of Field.esp DBCallingCard.esp quest_sorcery.esp SkyUI.esp SoS - The Dungeons.esp Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp RealisticNeedsandDiseases.esp RND_Dawnguard-Patch.esp RND_Dragonborn-Patch.esp Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp Actualize Apparel.esp Fantasy Music Overhaul.esp Dragonstand.esp Mystic Home.esp hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp Skyrim Unlimited Rings And Amulets.esp Tribunal Maskes by Zairaam.esp Tribunal Robes by Zairaam.esp ETaC - Villages Complete.esp whiterunMarket.esp Cloaks - No Imperial.esp Cloaks - Player Only.esp 1nivWICCloaks.esp 1nivWICCloaksCRAFT.esp 1nivWICCloaksNoGuards.esp My Home Is Your Home.esp UFO - Dawnguard AddOn.esp UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp Birds.esp Cloaks.esp BFT Ships and Carriages - HF.esp iHUD.esp Better Vampires.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Illuminated Spells.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities & Town Interiors.esp 3DNPC.esp Waves.esp WetandCold.esp getSnowy.esp Chesko_Frostfall.esp ReProccer.esp SkyRe_Combat.esp SkyRe_EnemyAI.esp SkyRe_EnemyScaling.esp SkyRe_Main.esp SkyRe_Races.esp SkyRe_StandingStones.esp SkyRe_Survivalism.esp I can confirm that neither "Wet and Cold", "Frostfall - Hypothermia", or "Get Snowy" are the reason for this. 14. Hey guys, I'm experiencing kind of an odd issue, and I can't quite find the solution. In Dawnguard, one of the coolest things was the changes to vampire faces, I thought. Specifically the nose and the vertical (closed) slit coming from the lips. However, both of these are missing on my characters (two, both Breton Males.) Now, it did work at once. However, it's since disappeared, and I can't actively recall at what point that might have happened. Has anyone else experienced this, or is anyone able to help me solve the problem? Edit: For some extra information, the eyes are unchanged. Everything else vampiric appears to be missing, however.
  15. As the title says, I'm having a problem in beast form with super regeneration. I've already posted in the mod's own thread, but I'm covering bases here as I've spent the last 3 and a half hours troubleshooting on my own without any success or a response from the creator. So far I've tested the following: Clean save cycle reinstall Clean save re-download reinstall Downgrade to 1_0 (from 1_1) Uninstalled all other mods but Nature of the Beast II (then repeated above steps) New game SKSE, Skyrim, and Script Dragon (as the mod requests) is up to date. Both the mod's Werewolf Transformation and vanilla Beast Form have an insanely high stamina and health regen rate. This is only in werewolf form, and does not persist in normal form. Even a new game with only this mod installed experiences these issues. I've run the mod-check gambit here. Short of reinstalling Skyrim and Dawnguard, I feel there's nothing else I can do, and yet there would surely be others experiencing this problem in the time it's been up, right? Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?
