  1. Just thought I'd pip in with some info here. You need to manually install SKE now. Extract it, get the files you need, and toss them in your data folder. The newest version of SKE's fomod doesn't install all the required files you need. It doesn't install the bsa for SKE. It only install the .esm. So you need to manually go into the zip file and extract the bsa for the version you are using (static or scripted) and toss that in your data folder in order for SKE to work, cause it won't install it for some reason. Kind of sucks that they have comments and bug reports disabled cause no one will know this information unless they come here, otherwise they'll all think SKE is just busted now. We can't even troubleshoot it among ourselves on the mod page and let others know about it and can't even contact Sharlikran about it either. EDIT: And it appears the scripted version doesn't work properly either, just the static version seems to work. Still need to manually install it.
  2. Have you actually checked your game is .210? I know that was the latest beta, but Bethesda seems to have jumped up to .307 without doing a beta first, hence the message from F4SE about a version mismatch does it really matter what version numberBethesda is using we can't launch fo4 with f4se right now and that's all that really matters It does matter, as F4SE is based on the version of the game. Currently there is two versions available on the F4SE page. One for game version .205 and another for game version .210. Depending on if you are running beta or not, is dependent on the version you will use. .205 for the live game, .210 for the beta. After the update, the game is now at version .307. So we have to wait for an F4SE that is compatible with the .307 version. So yeah, the version of the game does matter when it comes to F4SE. If you are not using the proper F4SE for the game version you are running, it won't work. Right now, everyone should be running version .307 as it is the live version right now. So the .205 and the .210 version of F4SE won't work. Just have patience for the F4SE to update. They usually get it out within the day of the update.
  3. Yeah, sadly there was another update early this morning that updated the game to 1.5.157. So while I appreciate the new 1.5.154 beta version, it doesn't work with the latest version of Fallout 4. Thank you though for getting this out to us. :smile:
  4. I haven't had any problems on my end so far. Only playing F:NV right now, and everything is working just fine with the new update. It looks prettier too. Thanks for the hard work! :)

While some people don't see it as being so bad to charge 1-2 dollars for their mod, they forget that you only get 25% of that. And ONLY if you make 100 dollars or more on your mod. So if you don't even make 100 dollars every month, you get nothing. And to top that off, the one thing they don't consider, your reputation. Communities have a deep hatred for people who put their mods behind a pay wall. So not only will you only be getting a few cents here and there, your reputation will be tarnished badly. Look at people like Isoku who did Wet and Cold. Their comments have been pruned and locked for all the stuff people have said once they found out the new updated was behind a pay wall. They are being harassed and have become the poster boy/example for paid mods on many other forums right now. A modder that people respected, their reputation is ruined now because of this. So while I get that you would like to make a buck here and there for your hard work, think about not only the money but what is going to happen to your rep if you do.
  6. Yeah not enjoying this myself either. Every time I try to download anything, it redirects me to a server that isn't even working. So it just sits there at connecting, but never connects. Thought paying a premium, I'd be allowed to use premium servers. But instead I'm being redirected to regular servers that don't work. It is extremely frustrating to say the least. Though I appreciate the new endorsement system, a lot of mods that I didn't realize I never endorsed. But the downloading from regular servers that don't work, as a premium member, is the frustrating part. EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot to change my preferences to a premium server. All good now, sorry, ignore my rant. :tongue:
  7. Trying to find help with this, but having no luck. So maybe you guys can help. I'm going for a completionist run this time around, using the Skyrim Quest Checklist found here. I'm in the process of doing the Companions quests (already did all of Whiterun and it's related areas), and all I have left is this one quest Striking the Heart. It is the only quest I have not got yet. While doing the main story line, Aela only gave me Stealing Plans and Retrieval, and then sent me off to see Kodlak. She never gave me Striking the Heart. But I have completed everything else with the Companions already no problems. It says this quest is repeatable, yet Aela never offers it to me ever. She only keeps giving me Animal Extermination over and over again (besides the three Totems of Hircine quests which I have already done). Did I miss my chance to ever get this quest? Or do I just have to keep doing Animal Extermination a thousand times before she'll give it to me? It says it is repeatable like I said, but she has yet to give me it. And it is the only quest I need to finish up Whiterun and the Companions before moving onto the next area. Is there a console command I can use to give myself the quest? I've tried setstage, yet that does nothing at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to start all over again because of this one quest, just to see if I will get it this time on a new game. So tired of starting over again constantly.
  8. So I did Drowned Sorrows for Ranmir, but in my journal the portion that says "Speak to Vex in Riften" won't go away. The thing is, after talking to the barmaid, she told me about Vex and I got the quest update to speak to Vex. But the Jarl in Winterhold sent me to go find the Helm of Winterhold, which just so happened to be in the same cave as Isabella's body. So I got the note and my quest updated to give it to Ranmir. But after I finished the quest, I still have "Speak to Vex in Riften" in my journal. So I went through all the Thieves Guild stuff to get to the Ragged Flagon so I could speak to Vex, thinking it might clear if I talk to her at least, but it doesn't give me the option. So now I am stuck with "Speak to Vex in Riften" in my journal. I've tried "setstage FreeFormWinterholdC 20" like it said on the UESPWiki (in the bug section if Vex doesn't give the dialogue), but that does nothing. Is there a way I can add this dialogue to her to get rid of this quest, or a way to complete or reset this quest so I can get rid of it? I hate having bugged quests in my journal. Unless someone knows a mod that can abandon quests as well. Thanks for any help you guys can give. EDIT: NEVERMIND..... Was able to solve the issue by using "setObjectiveCompleted FreeFormWinterholdC 20 1". Thanks any ways.
  9. Oh I already found out that it wasn't a low resolution bug (I should probably change the title). It was textures from a race mod, overwriting my own face textures that I had. You can read it above in my post what happened.
  10. Yeah I tried that a bunch of times before. It didn't work. CotS adds its own textures to the game, but for some reason, all the races read those textures instead of Bella's textures. It doesn't physically overwrite them, as they are still in the same folder together. But ingame, it uses the CotS textures instead of Bella's textures. I remember I had no issues with the old version of CotS and using Better Females, but for some reason when I downloaded the new version, it is now overwriting Bella's textures in game. I don't care for the whole CotS race mod. I just wanted it for the children NPC changes. So if there is another version of it that just changes the children in the game without having to deal with the playable race, and it doesn't overwrite Bella's textures, then that would be great. But it seems it is one big package deal. Either the whole thing, or nothing.
  11. Well after yet another reinstall, I found out what was causing the issue finally. Children of the Sky. It is a mod that I was using to change the children NPCs to look better (cause the vanilla children are so bland). Seems the textures for that mod were overwriting Better Females by Bella. So got rid of it and now everything is working fine again. But in turn, it rather sucks cause now I have to deal with the fugly vanilla children. :confused:
  12. Yes I use BOSS to sort my load order. I'm not using any Race Menu mods. Only thing I use is the showracemenu alternative mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20394) which allows you to use the showracemenu command without messing up your stats. Edit: And removing Dragonborn does nothing. I still get the face issues, so guessing that's not the problem. Just really stumped on this. No idea what could be causing it.
  13. So far, all I've noticed is the face change, nothing else. Like I said, it's a new game. I've made it as far as the Keep and left it there. But from what I've seen so far, everything else seems to be alright as far as I know (so far), just my face keeps changing every time I reload my game. The only cosmetic mods I have are: Better Females by Bella Apachii Hair Oblivion Hair Pack Fine Face Textures for Males Extended Slider Colors Sporty Sexy Sweat Tan Lines for UNP and UNPB by Kruaka And of course the UNPB body. Otherwise the only other mods I have are listed above. I run an ENB mod as well, but that has never given me issues before like this (Stakado Cinemascope ENB: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15425). The only things I have done that are different from when I first had the game, is I downloaded Dragonborn. Like I said before though, I did a completely fresh install of Skyrim and Steam so I have no remnants of the old Skyrim I had installed (even deleted the folders from Games and AppData and Documents).
  14. So having an odd issue. Whenever I start a new game, everything works fine. Textures are high resolution, my settings are on High, and everything is great and running wonderfully. No mod issues at all, even did a clean install of Skyrim, Steam, NMM and Boss. Used TES5Edit to clean everything and made sure everything was up to date and working great. The issue is, after I save my game and then reload my game, my face (and likely other textures) drop to low resolution. And they stay that way unless I use the Change Race spell to fix it. But as soon as I save and reload, it reverts back to low resolution textures. For some reason my game keeps loading low resolution textures, even though my settings are at high and were working fine before I saved and reloaded. I don't want to have to keep using the Change Race spell to fix my face every time I load my game. It is rather frustrating that this is happening as I have never had this issue before Dragonborn. Pictures attached below to show what I mean. The first picture shows what my character should look like. The second picture shows what happens after I reload my game and it drops it to low resolution. Any help would be appreciated in getting this solved. Thanks. P.S. Almost forgot my load order (just incase it is a mod causing issues).
