  1. Good ideas, thanks. I like "The Stolen Sweetroll" for a pub name. ;)
  2. Anyone have any creative ideas? It is for a mod I am working on.
  3. OK, just in case anyone else ever has this strange problem, here is what worked for me: I renamed my Scripts folder to ScriptsBak and created a completely empty Scripts folder. Then, I opened the Creation Kit, then closed it down again. Then, I renamed ScriptsBak to Scripts, and voila, no listing of old scripts. I have no idea why this worked. Those old scripts have been in there bugging me for forever, it seems like.
  4. I've done that, per the post above. The CK complains that they're gone. That's the point of my post.
  5. How do you remove old loose scripts from the papyrus manager? I opened a mod to make some tweaks, and then later uninstalled it. Now, the scripts from that mod are listed in the Papyrus Manager, and every time I use the CK, it gives me warnings about the missing scripts when I go to add a new script. The use info on the old (missing) scripts is correct - 0. The CK knows they are not being used, but somehow it still wants them there. How does it even remember? Anyway, this is just an annoyance. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  6. I'm still having trouble downloading directly from the site today (without NMM). Seems all is not fixed.
  7. New version is working well for me so far. I loved that you removed the default version of "1" for files not from the Nexus. It's a small thing, but it always annoyed me that they got the little yellow caution sign to upgrade.
  8. I just did something similar with the musical instruments in the game. When in your inventory, they give you lesser powers (in the spell inventory) that let you play the songs for that instrument. It is called Become a Bard and has all the source scripts. The actual changes in the CK required to make this happen are minimal. The file size is tiny. When you open the mod to see how it works, type "_LP_" in the object window. Those are the only things I changed.
  9. Yes, I think I will have to do something like that. It would have been elegant to show the wait menu with a countdown on a preset number of hours to simulate the work involved. Thanks for you help.
  10. Does anyone know if there is a way to make an object pop up the sleep/wait box and count down a certain number of hours OnActivate to simulate the time it takes to use the object?
  11. This sounds absolutely amazing. Can't wait to check it out.
  12. They never should have made it so that Steam automatically checks and updates installed mods at every launch. Mainly, because people don't generally want that, they want more control. And secondly, because of exactly what is happening today. The servers can't take the load. People who are modding are starting up Skyrim over and over and over again to test things out. The amount of unnecessary server load is just insane. Why in the world would they set it up to constantly check and re-download already installed mods? They should let users do it manually.
  13. How do I donate to help improve the server situation?
