  1. I have spent the last 48h trying to do this myself but I cannot seem to find any resources online to solve this dilemma. I am trying to swap all levels of the Witcher Wolf swords (steel and silver) from the witcher gear dlc with 2 other swords. I would like to replace the Witcher Steel Wolf sword with Princess Xenthia's Sword (with the scabbard_sabre_1_01_02, as opposed to the default for that sword) I would like to replace the Witcher Silver Wolf sword with the Moonblade, and its default scabbard (incidentally, scabbard_silver_1_07) I tried editing the XML files by hand, as well as Wolven Kit. I tried changing file names and manually replacing the mesh files. I couldn't get ANYTHING i tried to work. The only thing I managed to accomplish was changing the scabbards. Editing the final portion of the XML file seemed to do the trick. but NOTHING I did had any impact on the swords in game. Before anyone mentions AMM, it was the first thing I tried. The issue I have with how AMM does this is twofold. First, during any cutscene animation, the "edited" swords go completely static, and I end up with swords clipping through Geralts head. Second, it doesn't change the inventory screen or icons. Granted, those are not as important, but in all my years of modding I have always prided myself on being thorough when editing something, and making sure the change is globally effective is part of that. If anyone would be willing to assist me with this, either by effecting the swap, or pointing me in the right direction for a program that will help me get this done (ideally with tutorials or guides) I would be very grateful. I view coming to the forums as a last resort, so please be assured I did my due diligence before coming here.
  2. I don't have a single clue why this worked, but by redoing the skin parts in 3ds max, then re-exporting it all, it works now *shrugs* I must have done something wrong but dang if I know what.
  3. So I am doing a refit of an armor I did for SAM, however its been some time since I did any mesh work and I find myself at a loss with a problem im having. Everything works. The weight slider, the refit, everything. Even the textures all work, save the body and hand textures (the gloves are fingerless, so the hand texture shows on the fingers) When I load up the game, it refuses to display the skin textures on hands or chest, I get the blue missing texture problem. However, as soon as I unequip and reequip the gloves and robe, then everything works great. So technically everything is working however it is somewhat immersion breaking to have to do that. Also if I reload a save, I need to do the same thing again. I did as much research as I could to try and sort this out, and did end up finding out I hadnt done the BSDismember properly, however that didnt fix the problem as I was hoping it might. If anyone has any experience with the bug and how to fix it, I would be eternally grateful. cheers! ~Earrindo
  4. confirmed that with updated driver and geforce experience uninstalled skyrim works fine now, I was having the exact same error

  6. ok, so it seems that the combination of ERSO 08, ACE Combat, ASIS and YASH improved classes was the problem. I just did a last round of tests and it seems YASH overrides the difficulty increases of ERSO 08, ACE Combat and ASIS, because those three together are awesome, super challenging. Add YASH in and boom, NPCs are like wet tissue paper. If the combo of those three werent so tricky I would try and make the YASH classes plugin compatible, but for now I will just leave it out. Hopefully this will help someone else but either way, thanks for the help ^_^
  7. I have a game save from before I added any magic, combat or AI mods, so I will do as you suggest. After running Helgen about 60 times the past month the thought of doing it again makes me a little queasy, lol Thats what I get for altering my lineup at the last minute hehe
  8. the problem I have with skyre is it changes too much, stuff I dont feel needs to be changed. If it isnt encounter zones then I dont suppose you have any other theories about what is causing such a drastic lowering of difficulty?
  9. so the encounter zones set by ERSO are getting overridden by those set in ASIS? damn, I was really wanting to keep ASIS... I'll give it a go without ASIS then. My mage isnt OP though, he is still lvl 1, lol

So I have been laboring at my mod list for weeks now, starting new games, trying them out, finding that sweet spot that made the game feel new, challenging but familiar without adding anything overtly different but instead either adding stuff behind the scenes or in a very vanilla friendly way. I shook things up a little bit this last time and it seems to have bitten me in the butt. I tried to put together a set of mods to increase the challenge of the game (and I play as a mage almost exclusively so thats not exactly tough) and now it seems like the game got too easy. I am on Legendary difficulty setting mind you, so NPCs should be stupid tough, but instead my flames spell knocks down groups of bandits like bowling pins. If someone more astute than me could take a look at my list and tell me what happened to have such a drastically opposite impact on my game I would be much obliged.   12. The Dark brotherhood robes are on hold, I have finished two versions of a saviors hide robe and I am finally happy with a thieves guild robe design, though it is far from finished. Check out a render on the mod page and let me know what you think!
