(Bevilex) Wizard's Fury spell causes CTD

Hi all,

 

My first post so apologies if I've made a mistake - have read through any rules I could find!

 

I am playing using Bevilex Extended modpack on Oblivion (+2 small mods) and have had no crashes for the first 8+ hours of game play - that is until I was awarded the spell Wizard's Fury from the Mage's Guild quest line.

 

No other projectile or touch spell causes problems, but when I use the Wizard's Fury it plays the animation of the hand going out, I hear the noise of a spell begin, but before any visuals for the actual spell happen, the game consistently CTD.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time using a modpack and things had been going quite well!

 

My load order is pasted below, I'm using BOSS from OMO and used Wabbajack to install the mods automatically:

Try to run the game without

  • Improved Fires and Flames - Increased Sound.esp Active
  • MinimalMagicEffects.esp Active
  • Magic Visuals Overhaul.esp Active

...and see what happens. THose are the only ones I found that changes magic and most likely one of them is causing the problems.
