MO2: Is it safe to replace the Data, and Src folder when reinstalling SKSE

I want to reinstall due to some modding issues, but I also don't think I initially installed MO2 properly. I didn't put SKSE into MO2, I just moved them into the Skyrim SE folder, and that was that.

I want to reinstall it, but some mod files are in the Data, and I think the src folders. If I replace those, will it ruin the mods? Are those files important? do the files in Data, and src regenerate or something?

The "src" directory from SKSE is not needed to actually run SKSE. It is there if anyone want to examine the source files used to create SKSE itself.

The files found in "Data > Scripts" from SKSE are necessary for SKSE to function properly

The files found in "Data > Scripts > Source" are only necessary if you will be compiling your own papyrus scripts that take advantage of SKSE added functions / events.

Best course of action since you want to re-install is to follow this guide on reverting to a stock game: https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again

Wherever the guide talks about the Skyrim directory, simply replace that with your Skyrim Special Edition equivalent directory.

Then re-install your mod manager followed by the mods.
