Having a problem with the A Matter of Time widget that suddenly stopped showing up on screen.  Worked for years and now it's gone.  The MCM menu is still visible and I can change options but no change widget is still gone.  The HUD mods I use are iHud, Less Intrusive HUD, MoreHUD and TrueHUD, and nothing changed in the configurations of those.

I tried reinstalling AMOT in a clean save, no change.  Loaded defaults, no change.  Played around with the options in all my HUD mods, no change either.  Loaded older saves widget still gone, loaded a very old save widget appears but dissapears again after half an hour of play or so....

Worse thing is I had the same occur many years ago on regular Skyrim and then I found a fix after a lot of searching, but alas I forgot all about it and I didn't take notes.

Searching on the net yielded some people having the same problem, but no solution.  Someone is bound to have encountered the same problem and fixed it, if that kind soul reads this please respond :)

When it stops working for me, it's an indicator that some mod I've just installed has screwed with and broken SKSE. Every single time.

Thanks for the reply.  I checked all my SKSE plugin logs and Papyrus log and everything seems to load fine, including AMOT.  Since I use MO2 as a mod manager I can check for overwrites and one mod made an intentional change to an SKUI script since it makes it possible to load more MCM menus than default, more than 1000 instead of the limit of 120 which I had reached.  So I disabled that mod but no go either, the MCM from AMOT loads fine but still no widget even in older saves.

I'm probably missing something obvious as if AMOT wouldn't load properly I should have errors in the SKSE log.  I also tried the setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 console command to force reload the MCM's but still no widget.  I'm beginning to think the widget is there but off the visible screen limits.  Somehow something must have changed it's position maybe, and even resetting it's position to default in the MCM somehow doesn't work, or I could be wrong at this time I'm really not sure anymore.  Going to keep looking though and will post back if I find something.

When you write a mod you installed has screwed with SKSE and broken it, did you get the same symptoms as I have, a vanished widget or did the MCM stop working or something else?

AMOT and other SKSE mods fail when SKSE goes down. Not just AMOT.  Everything SKSE related.

As to the possibility that it's displaying offscreen, (I think) you could try setting the position of the widget within the MCM to force it to display close to center screen (just to make sure it's not some weirdness with positioning).

- yes, I know you said you tried resetting it to default... I mean set it so the display will appears where you normally wouldn't want it, ie dead middle or thereabouts, just to make sure some weird offset isn't pushing it a few hundred px left or right of where you expect it

Have you tried uninstalling AMOT, performing cleanup (open game after uninstall, create new save, exit game, fallrim clean save, open game, new save, exit, then reinstall) << I did not say disable enable btw, disabling is not the same as uninstalling.

1.6x or 1.5.97? I fired up a quick query and found some people complaining in the AMOT thread about it not working under "AE" (1.6x). I'm still on 1.5.97, and it works fine for me. (except when SKSE goes down)

widenet query "Skyrim AMOT problem with missing display"

Also, from same query returns, apparently some are complaining (or were) about a problem with iHUD and AMOT, in case that applies.

AND>.......... just in case you recently installed some kewl new musthave mod....you probably know where I'm going but to be sure, if you did, try uninstalling that/those mods. Not all contentions are documented. Or I should say, some aren't caught until someone catches them.

best wishes
