For some reason, I cannot get grass mods to work. I have tried dat grass, grass field, and extreme grass. I am suppose to get grass like this http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/50875-3-1392178878.jpg but instead I get http://i.imgur.com/0IkVn5z.jpg and

I had about 80 mods installed in MO but I disabled all except the grass mod to avoid conflicts. I turned off enb. I replaced the skyrim and skyrimpref ini files with the originals and the grass mods still don't work. I added the line iMinGrassSize=40 and changed that number around and the outcome is always the same. Bald spots and patches with and without other mods. Am I missing something here? How do you get grasses to look right? I have a gtx 770 4gb, i5 3570k, and 8 gigs of ram so my pc can surely handle a single grass mod with everything else turned off. I have skyrim legendary edition.

edit: I got the grass to work http://i.imgur.com/eybnwUg.jpg but I had to put the esp and bsa file in the data folder and I had to launch skyrim through the skyrim launcher. The grass mods will not work through MO. If anyone can tell me what MO is doing to make the grass mods not work, I'd really appreciate it. I think it might have to do with skyrim ini files. I don't know. I really don't want to go back to the old way of modding and put all my mods in the data folder just so I can get nice grass.

edit: Just found the ini option in MO. . the grass mod works now.

MO isn't doing anything, its the load order you're putting the textures in that is causing the problems. MO is just a manager, ultimately it's what you do (or don't do) that causes mods not to work correctly. in your situation, by placing this in the game folder, you're ensuring it has a higher load order, or at least one higher than where you placed it in MO. Secondly, it is likely also a ini tweak discrepancy between the ini files you were editing. Skyrim keeps the vanilla ones in the game folder, but MO places the ones actually being used within the profile folder within MO itself. This is a good thing. You never want to edit any of the game folder ini files if you use MO.

Anyhow, in short, the answer to your problem is in your load order and ini tweaks. Which ini files are you editing? And where was this mod in your load order? If you post your load order here, please use the spoiler tags.
