Tutorials on how to make armor mashups?

Sorry if this has been ask plenty of times before, but I haven't really found anything yet. More specifically I'm looking for visual tutorials. Tutorials with images or videos. I'm having a hard time finding either. I use 3DS Max (learning in school) and I also have Nifskope (No idea how to use it) downloaded. I want to make some armor mashups for Type 6 and I know about exporting files from fallout and texturing, but the modeling part is intimidating. Thanks for any help!

Armor Mashups? First, I'm not sure what you mean by that and Second, I don't know how much specific stuff like that there is around. There is however plentiful of content available if you want to learn how to use 3DS Max and Nifskope, just google/youtube it.

You don't understand what an armor mashup is? Isn't it kinda obvious from the name? Also yes, I have googled and looked around on youtube with no luck. Google just gives me bodies of text tutorials that aren't helpful at all, and youtube doesn't have what I'm looking for. Mostly skyrim stuff.

No, I'm not familiar with that term but I'm guessing you want to learn basically how to "copy paste" parts of armors made by other people, is that it? I would advice you to learn the very basics, like how to use the tools necessary first. There's a lot of both text and video tutorials on how to use Nifskope. I even found a tutorial on how to do "Armor Mashups" on this forum after a mere couple of seconds of searching. Also making stuff for Skyrim and Fallout ain't that different you know? If you are not willing to use any of the information already available I'm guessing no answer you will get in this thread will help you

How did humans ever learn how to do stuff when there wasn't step-by-step Youtube tutorials? :whistling:

Well I was hoping someone who actually knew what I was talking about and has done it before would reply. And yes, like I said I'm looking for tutorials that have images or something to reference what I'm looking at. The "Armor Mashup" tutorial I found was just a block of text and not the best to follow along with. The reason I asked on here was so maybe people who have actually worked on armor before could help me, not some random person telling me to google it, but thanks.

I've used Nifskope before and just because I've never made an "Armor Mashup" before doesn't mean I lack the knowledge required to do one. Look, in your first post you said you have no idea how to use Nifskope. And what I'm saying is learn how to, if you are familiar with similar stuff it will be a piece of cake. Everything you need is already out there and you even seem to have already found it and glanced at it.

I would be happy to try and answer questions of a more specific nature related to Nifskope or making armors in general if you get stuck.

Go here

You'll have to go through it for the 3DS Max stuff (there's at least one about doing armor for NV, but I don't know how good it is). I use Blender and there are quite a few Blender oriented tuts on the page that I used for creating armor and mashups for the Fallouts.
