Darwyn4321
Hi. I just got into the mod scene, and I went a little overboard with trying out different skin textures. I directly downloaded the "CBBE Skin Texture V2 V3 plus Thepal and UNP compatible" by navetsea, and, not thinking, put the CBBE files into my Skyrim data folder. So now, of course, when I try to use a different mod to change the skin textures, the bodies of npcs are darker than their heads and their hands. I have no idea how to restore the original files. I already tried to reisntall Skyrim, but thanks to Steam it doesn't do a clean uninstall and that didn't change anything. Am I screwed? Jeir
You reinstall CBBE. That'll get the original CBBE skin textures back. Then, only use skin retexture mods that are on the CBBE mod list; Navetsea's is not compatible with CBBE, as it was made for an older version.Or, if you want to go back to the vanilla body meshes/textures, delete the files listed in the 'Troubleshooting' section of the CBBE mod description
Darwyn4321
That did it! I deleted all the files in the t/s section which restored all the vanilla files, then went from there. Thank you so much!
