Okay, I have tried enb in the past and was never able to get it to work properly. There are several how to install tutorials but each one seems different.

My rig IS in SLI. I am running 2 GTX980ti in SLI. I know that some of the previous versions of ENB were said to have been incompatible with SLI. I've also read that the current versions are compatible.

So I guess what I am asking is if someone can point me to a current ENB installation tutorial that is complete from start to finish written for dummies and includes SLI configurations.

Like the title says, I've always wanted to install it, but I'm scared. Last time I did is messed a bunch of little things up.

Thank you.

I think the easiest way to install ENB is to use RealVision page & installer.

After RealVision is successfully installed you can copy the ENblocal & ENBseiries inis to another folder & experiment with other presets, knowing that you can always copy the Realvision inis back.

ENB is controlled by the ENBlocal, ENBseiries inis & d3d9.dll. Moving them out of the Skyrim folder will bring you back to vanilla Skyrim.

You my need to use only one 980 ti though. Not a big problem since a single one can run the game at over 60fpt with ENB at 1080. I run a single 980 ti at 1440 with ENB & stay close to 60fps most of the time.

This is a good time for 980 ti users & ENB. The new version (.305) runs perfect with it.

What is the base resolution of your monitor?

At what resolution are you trying to run at?

Does the monitor support a higher refresh rate?

What operating system are you running on?

Been thinking about Oculus But not sure yet as my CPU is a 4.0 ghz Hex Core I7-970 and I really don't want to upgrade to some I5 four core just to make Oculus app happy.

Thank you Jones117. I'll try that.

Well there is your issue   Boris Vorontsov only supports ENB on  Windows 7.....

You can go to the ENB development website and see if there is a workaround but my understanding is they are hit and miss.

So you'll either end up having to dual boot Windows 7 or live without...

I have windows 10 and have never had any issues with ENB

As for installing ENB they are all pretty much the same.

Copy the d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe into the skyrim folder and the do the same with the enb files.....configure the enblocal.ini and your good to go......

also make sure you disable your video cards AA and AF. set to application controlled.

Its really simple once you do it a couple times. Most of the authors have installation instructions on their pages. Not too mention theres TONS of youtube videos for everything skyrim.

Since the essence of your question involved Skyrim with an ENB on an SLI setup, I typed ENB+SLI into google and many responses showed up.  The top responses also involve Skyrim so the general topic is one for consideration. Glancing at them suggests others have successfully accomplished this task.

Here is a Youtube video on this subject:  https://www.youtube....h?v=ujG6IhDg5tA

Some of the comments for this video seem informative.

The issue is not SLI it is Windows 10 and ENB which the YouTube video is clearly on windows 7.

The issue is Boris Vorontsov to not support Windows 10

go to the ENB development site and in he will explain it

ENB does work with Windows 10. Lots of people have got it to work. Read this thread for more info.

This tutorial from STEP will tell you how to install it. This tutorial is very helpful on trying to get ENB to work. I would suggest using an ENB Manager like ENB Man to help you install and uninstall ENB binaries more cleanly.
