Eternity - A Dark Souls and Enderal inspired DLC mod idea

Ever since I've watch Enderal, I have ideas.... that I wanted to get rid off becasue I have no modding skills. But those of you who are interested than go ahead! If you guys, Surprised me! :smile:

 

EDIT: You guys are free to do whatever you want with this idea, except for making skimpy armor... seriously... don't... we already have enough of them.

 

This is just my own personal idea that I keeps haunting in my head, and it never let's go unless I do something about it.. They were build based on available assets and already existed from other mods, so technically, most of theory here aren't completely impossible to make.

 

If you interested, plz pm me to let me know that You've pick it up. I wanted to add some lore so you can have a little bit of understanding what Eternity would be like. I didn't posted it here due to the fact that, it would cost spoiler unless Eternity was actually made... plus I'm lazy. I know, I've already sold out my idea ever since I posted it here, but I wanted to help whatever I can, Like character art concept (warning: my art style might be a little anime-ish, but not the monsters and the boss), the lore, the story, even the quest if you needed help with that. i'm not a modder or scripter, but I'll try my best to help you out whatever I can, since this is very HUGE mod after all

Senoria, it's an enchanted, magical and powerful kingdom of the entire nation of Enrish

Ruled by 3 most powerful faction, Each with the most powerful individual that ever existed

The Storm Alliance, Lead by the Great Stormhawk family

The Manabane, with it's almighty Nomdos family

And lastly, the Phoenix Knights, Lead by the royal family and rightful ruler of Senoria, the Arcaneheart family.

For many generation,

They have bring peace and balance to the world with no sign of weakness

All 3 family ruled the land

with their people living in peace and harmony.

But now....

Senoria.... is nothing more...

...than a shadow of it's former glory ever since that incident...

... "Death of the Fantasy land"...

... nobody know how it happen...

...It's just do...

... one day it was peaceful...

...than suddenly...

...the Sun...

...turned black..

...With the grass dying...

... the animal fled..

.. And the people... soon fell to the plague...

... And the 3 most powerful faction... now fallen and corrupted...

....Once a Powerful Empire...

... Now a land ruled only by fear, despaired... and the undead....

... nowhere it safe, my friend...

...No where it's safe....

... So tell me...

...What would you do?...

....Will you try to find other survivor like you?...

....Perhaps trying your best to survive alone?...

Or perhaps... that You wanted to know the truth.. about this incident?...

Short description:

Like Enderal, This mod will be more of a completely separated game from Skyrim.

However, This mod main aim are for 3 kind of people:

People with potato PC who couldn't play a game like Enderal

People Who enjoyed Dark Souls, but wanted to experience something different, but similar to Dark Souls

And people... with potato PC but wanted to play Dark Souls

As you may guess form the Lore section (which I just came up while writing it)

The setting is similar to Dark Souls,

But if the game it's too much like Dark Souls, it wouldn't be a very memorable game

So there are few thing that I have in mind to separated from all of the 3 games:

Skyrim, Enderal and Dark Souls

Overview:

1) Graphics:

You know what problem Skyrim Players have nowadays... people are too obsessed with ENB...

Also Enderal too focus on making a beautiful game without thinking of the game performance in mind.

Luckily, The game setting for Eternity, are all ready available:

Dark Fantasy Overhaul

Ultimate Lighting Overhaul - Grim lite Preset

Grass on Steroid - a grass mod that give FPS BOOST

Truestorms

Supreme and Volumetric Fog

with the help of 5 other optional mod that are highly recommended to installed

Dynavision

Imaginator

With only 7 of these mod, NOT ONLY you will get your game look dark mysterious and beautiful, but it will also give your more performance there any ENB can mod can promised you. ULO only hit a minimal of your fps, but still playable.

 

 

2) Races:

Enderal remove too many other races, which make Enderal only occupied by Elf and human

But I wanted Eternity to keep all of the races, but change the name of the human and animal races

Plus I wanted to be surprised by whoever is going to pick this up

3) Weaponry and Armory:

REPLACE EVERYTHING... No seriously

Eternity should have mod that will replace every weapon and armor from the Vanilla armor model so they wouldn't felt..."immersion breaking"

Bethesda's Exclusive metals like Ebony, Orcish, Daedric and Dwemer will get their name replace.

You can still get dragon bones and flesh to make Dragonbone and Dragonscale Equipment buuuuuuuut....

Highly recommend to avoid them as much as possible...

This ain't Skyrim

 

But this is optional you can do whatever you want

 

 

GAMEPLAY

1) From the beginning:

- Unlike the all too familiar setting where you wake up in the most unpleasant place ever (Bethesda signature), the game let you wake up in a small hut, just close to the border of the land.

- This where the Character Creation take place. But that's not all, this is also where you will pick your starting class

- I was thinking by putting "Ultimate Immersive Classes" mod to the mod. (This mod allowed you to picked your stating Equipment based on the classes you wanted to pick)

- Just like Dark souls Character Creation, which allow player to pick which class they wanted to pick at the beginning

-After the Charter Creation is done, there will be a pop up screen appeared and say:

"Owww... my head... What happen?....arrrgggg... I can't remember anything..."

"Last thing I remember was... ."

"chaos... terror... panic everywhere.... that's all I could remember"

"No use trying to remember... gotta check if anyone is still alive"

"Need to gather my things first though..."

 

- After that the tutorial quest will begin. Highly recommended to loot everything in your house, from potion to food and money. Best not loot unnecessary stuff like a bucket, no seriously, they will slow you down. (That's right I'm being generous)

- The tutorial are the same and normal stuff but here's the catch.... the tutorial will lead you to an village occupied only by undead zombie (In Skyrim, Draugr). You have to fight your way out there will be a boss fight here

-After the you beat the tutorial boss, you'll collapse from exhaustion and you'll find a shadowly figure appeared.

-You'll wake up in a middle of a campsite inside a cave. There you'll meet 3 non-hostile NPC:

+ Fair Maiden (The level Lady of Eternity)

+ George Stormhawk

+ and last but not least... the gentleman and the head of the Eternity Family, Graham V.Eternity

 

You'll learned about the "The Fantasy's Death" incident now you'll have choice, To find other remaining survivor and to find the truth about this incident.

 

 

2) Mechanic:

 

- You'll have to pm me for this one.... cause there are huge D-heads here only here for laughs and making fun of other people... I'm staring at you jerks.

 

- I'll updated this when I have the time, the last one wasn't a very serious presentation....

 

A) Combat

 

 

- I was planning on some "Tweak" that I have in mind:

+ Health doesn't regenerate unless outside of combat, or without any hostile nearby. But theregeneration will be the regeneration will be at Vanilla combat speed

+ Remove all of the "master" level spells completely, replace them with "Weapon buff" spells, or in this cased "Blessed weapon"

+ "Blessed weapons" spells used as lesser power, cost Mana (Magika when used), they allow to give temporary enchantment to the weapon such as flame, frost, shocks,e.t.c... without the help of enchanting. + You'll deal more damage, but you will received more damage from the enemy. You can deal extra damage to the enemy from the back side.

+ Heavy armor will get heavier depend on their weight including light armors and robes.

+ Perks is something you have to think of it for yourself if you're planning on making this, I have other plan for perk tree

+ I wouldn't recommend introducing "Dodge" Mechanic into "Eternity" because of the delay depend on how heavily you modded the game. Unless dodge mod somehow was light scripted, and act instantly, than it could be allowed, after all the main aim is the potato PC, not the high-classed one.

+ There won't be any perks that will increase sneak damage, so sneak archer will have a hard time without upgrading their gear. Plus it's never wise to go for sneak archer build in a game that trying it's best to be like "Dark Souls"

 

 

 

B) Follower System:

 

 

- There ARE followers in "Eternity"... however, you CAN'T recruit them for the entire time

- You an only get them by doing them a favor, after that they will give you a spell tome to summon them temporary for 5 minutes, once a day. Which mean you have to be smart on when to called out your followers, not just how you have to fight a bosses, it's when you're life is at stake, and you'll have no choice but to summon them

- They won't carry you're stuff, they won't train you.

- Technically, the vanilla follower system has been replace with this one to avoid the player from relying on them too much.

Main aim:

 

 

For now there are a bunch of jerks in nexus right now just to laugh at my aim.... I've just deleted it... it's either pick it up... or leave...

 

Important note: Sorry for being rude... it's just taht... come one guys, I know I selling out my ideas, but it still like my child. I don't wanted it to be laugh at by others... like I said... if it was your mod that being laugh at... how would you feel....

 

For now, if you guys REALLY wanted to make it... just get the permission from these author form their perspective mod....

If you don't expect someone to pick it up and make it, why don't you start yourself and build up a team as the project progesses?

 

Just throwing it out here will lead to nothing, because if someone plays with the idea to make a mod like Enderal, they'll make their own 99% of the time (and even then won't finish it most likely). The only advantage you offer are ideas, but everyone has plenty of his own. And one could also argue that you only offer restrictions.

 

And please, stop beeing overly defensive about your idea. I've read like 3 times you don't want anyone to make fun about your idea, but the thing you have to realize is that the development of your idea took you maybe some hours, while the execution will need thousands of hours.

Yeah, sorry, I was in a bad mood and mister Elias there have to show up and being a huge troll... sorry, like I said, I was in a bad mood...

 

 

I could have made it myself If I can.... but I have my handful with another project of mine. Like I said, I can't make a mod, I don't even know hwow to code, or even scripting, i'll just remove it if it's makes you uncomfortable.

 

 

like I said, I just wanted to throw this off the window... so I could focus on my own project. As much as I wanted to make Eternity real... but I have a dream of my own...

Why would it make me uncomfortable? I just posted my opinion.

 

It's unfortunate if you don't have spare time because time is the major factor of modding. But you wouldn't need to learn scpriting, it's really helpful if you can, but it isn't the only part of modding. There're many aspects, and depending on what you want to achieve varyingly important.

 

A good start for example would be learning the worldbuilding, because it is really simple, but also something you can show off. There are around 10 10-20 minutes tutorial videos from bethesda which explain the progress really well. Not everything, but enough to use it without getting lost. You can start there, getting something done, and maybe you'll then find people who are willing to help you with the things you can't do (like texturing, scripting, voice acting, creating new meshes, whatever), as they see that you really put your heart in this project. I know you said you don't have time because of another project, but maybe this'll change, or you just feel like it's time to mess around with something different.

Does it crash while you try to start it or does it crash when you try to load the esm? Because there is a problem where you can't open multiple esms without some tweaking (https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1010475-running-multiple-master-files-in-creation-kit/) also it can crash, atleast it did for me, if skyrim has another language set then english.

 

It isn't that bad, but you're right, it's far away from beeing "perfect". If you want to use it, never forget the rpg rule: "save early, save often."
