TheBrickDerp
Hi, all! This is my first time reporting an issue to a forums. I'm currently trying to do a modded playthrough of New Vegas and there's one significant problem that keeps popping up (apart from the lack of quality karma mods!) Basically, in some buildings, I will attempt to enter, only to be locked in place by all actors and props inside the building clinging to me. This can only be remedied by going into tfc, which even then only allows me to get a screenshot of the problem occurring. The affected buildings I've encountered so far include Doc Mitchells' home, the gas station in which Ringo holes out in Goodsprings, an abandoned shack from the CAM mod, and the NCRCF Administration building, the latter of which has so many actors and props makes the game freeze up due to resource-weight. dubiousintent
Yes, it's not normal behavior and likely a mod conflict. We can't do anything without information as to what you are using. It's always useful to post your "Load Order" (LO) with your problem description. (Use the "Special BBCode" button in the Forum "Reply" menu bar as the third icon from the left in the top row, next to and left of the "Font" pick-list field to put the LO in "Spoiler" tags.) Screenshots are not the best way to convey your LO, because they usually can't include everything in one image. LOOT can copy your LO into a list suitable for posting on forums. (It's under the ":" with three dots to the extreme right in it's menu bar.) Most "mod managers" have a similar "LO List" capability. But the total number of mods you have installed in the DATA folder is also important, because even inactive plugins are counted against the so-called "140 cap". LOOT provides both numbers: active and total installed. -Dubious-
TheBrickDerp
OH! I could've sworn I did when I posted this, lol. Sorry! Here we are: *EDIT* I counted, in total, there's 106 mods, not counting the DLCs. The bug was fixed for Doc Mitchells' home after I sorted the load order via LOOT, but I tested the NCRCF administration building and the same thing still happened. 0 0 FalloutNV.esm1 1 DeadMoney.esm2 2 HonestHearts.esm3 3 OldWorldBlues.esm4 4 LonesomeRoad.esm5 5 GunRunnersArsenal.esm6 6 ClassicPack.esm7 7 MercenaryPack.esm8 8 TribalPack.esm9 9 CaravanPack.esm10 a FreesideOpen.esm11 b MoreChems.esp12 c TheForum.esm13 d NVWillow.esp14 e More Traits.esm15 f Project Nevada - Core.esm16 10 Project Nevada - Equipment.esm17 11 Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp18 12 Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp19 13 Decrucifixion.esm20 14 MikotoBeauty.esm21 15 NevadaSkies.esm22 16 More Challenges.esm23 17 KarmaFix.esp24 18 outsidebets.esp25 19 FreesideOpenPatch.esp26 1a WeaponModsExpanded.esp27 1b Alternative Start.esp28 1c Primm Reputation Restored.esp29 1d Decrucifixion.esp30 1e Decrucifixion - More Victims.esp31 1f Crossbow.esp32 20 The Free Man.esp33 21 MCL_Pre_warXbow.esp34 22 XFO - 5eb - Skills - Barter - Hard.esp35 23 XFO - 5ea - Skills - Barter - Mild.esp36 24 XFO - 5db - Skills - Sneak - hard.esp37 25 XFO - 5da - Skills - Sneak - mild.esp38 26 XFO - 5b - Skills - SP Formula Rebalance.esp39 27 XFO - 5c - Skills - Better Med Surv Repair.esp40 28 XFO - 5a - SPECIAL & Stats Rebalance.esp41 29 XFO - 4bb - Perks - Two Perks Per Level.esp42 2a XFO - 4ba - Perks - Perk Every Level.esp43 2b XFO - 4a - Perks - Paths.esp44 2c XFO - 3ce - rarity - meds - easier.esp45 2d XFO - 3cd - rarity - meds - vanilla.esp46 2e XFO - 3cc - rarity - meds - hard.esp47 2f XFO - 3cb - rarity - meds - med.esp48 30 XFO - 6aa - Epic Skills - Effects Over 100 (NVSE req).esp49 31 XFO - 6ba - Pacing - Mild (No Cap).esp50 32 XFO - 6bb - Pacing - Med (No Cap).esp51 33 XFO - 6bc - Pacing - High (No Cap).esp52 34 XFO - 9da - Enemies - NPC Healing - low.esp53 35 XFO - 9cb - Enemies - NPC Aim + high.esp54 36 XFO - 9ca - Enemies - NPC Aim + low.esp55 37 XFO - 9bb - Enemies - NPC Health + high.esp56 38 XFO - 9ba - Enemies - NPC Health + low.esp57 39 XFO - 3ca - rarity - meds - mild.esp58 3a XFO - 8c - Karma Rebalance.esp59 3b XFO - 8a - Cripple & Body Part Revamp.esp60 3c XFO - 7c - UnMSG - Sneak Status.esp61 3d XFO - 7b - UnMSG - Karma (Incl Sounds).esp62 3e XFO - 7a - UnMSG - Empty.esp63 3f XFO - 6be - Pacing - Vanilla (JUST No Cap).esp64 40 XFO - 6bd - Pacing - Faster (No Cap).esp65 41 XFO - 8b - Speed Increases.esp66 42 XFO - 3be - rarity - caps - easier.esp67 43 XFO - 3bd - rarity - caps - vanilla.esp68 44 XFO - 3bc - rarity - caps - hard.esp69 45 XFO - 1be - Dmg - Skill-Var - 2x.esp70 46 XFO - 1bd - Dmg - Non-Var - 5x.esp71 47 XFO - 1bc - Dmg - Non-Var - 3x.esp72 48 XFO - 1bb - Dmg - Non-Var - 2x.esp73 49 XFO - 1ba - Dmg - Non-Var - 1x.esp74 4a XFO - 1ab - Accuracy Revamp - hard.esp75 4b XFO - 1bf - Dmg - Skill-Var - 3x.esp76 4c XFO - 1aa - Accuracy Revamp - mild.esp77 4d XFO - 10b - Hardcore - Food&Drink (no healing).esp78 4e XFO - 10ad - Hardcore - Hunger&Thirst - Easier (Half).esp79 4f XFO - 10ac - Hardcore - Hunger&Thirst - High (5x) .esp80 50 XFO - 10ab - Hardcore - Hunger&Thirst - Med (3x).esp81 51 XFO - 10aa - Hardcore - Hunger&Thirst - Mild (2x).esp82 52 XFO - 10c - Hardcore - Severe Penalties.esp83 53 XFO - 9db - Enemies - NPC Healing - med.esp84 54 XFO - 1bg - Dmg - Skill-Var - 5x.esp85 55 XFO - 2ab - Armor - DR+DT - revamp - med.esp86 56 XFO - 3bb - rarity - caps - med.esp87 57 XFO - 3ba - rarity - caps - mild.esp88 58 XFO - 3ae - rarity - ammo - easier.esp89 59 XFO - 3ad - rarity - ammo - vanilla.esp90 5a XFO - 3ac - rarity - ammo - hard.esp91 5b XFO - 3ab - rarity - ammo - med.esp92 5c XFO - 2aa - Armor - DR+DT - revamp - low.esp93 5d XFO - 3aa - rarity - ammo - mild.esp94 5e XFO - 2db - Bleedthrough - 5%.esp95 5f XFO - 2da - Bleedthrough - 10% (from 20).esp96 60 XFO - 2bc - Armor - DR+DT - simple - high.esp97 61 XFO - 2bb - Armor - DR+DT - simple - med.esp98 62 XFO - 2ba - Armor - DR+DT - simple - low.esp99 63 XFO - 2ac - Armor - DR+DT - revamp - high.esp100 64 XFO - 2dc - Bleedthrough - 0% (Full DT).esp101 65 XFO - 9dc - Enemies - NPC Healing - high.esp102 66 XFO - 9a - Enemies - AI revamp.esp103 67 More Traits Update.esp104 68 Dynamic and Rebalanced Karma v1.0.esp105 69 BoostedSkills.esp106 6a QS_Blackwolf_NV_Backpackmod.esp107 6b OWBFullHazmat.esp108 6c Saints & Sinners.esp109 6d MikotoBeauty.esp110 6e New VeronicaCass.esp111 6f The Mod Configuration Menu.esp112 70 BartonThornTrigger.esp113 71 FNVLODGen.esp114 72 NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp Edited March 17, 2017 by TheBrickDerp

dubiousintent
Suggest you read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice" first. When there are multiple optional files that are variations of the same thing, you have to choose only one of them. Usually such mods have a wizard or require use of a specific mod manager (or the knowledge of how to correctly repackage them) to install correctly. Specifically, you have all the optional XFO files where you should have chosen only one of each, as for example:44 2c XFO - 3ce - rarity - meds - easier.esp45 2d XFO - 3cd - rarity - meds - vanilla.esp46 2e XFO - 3cc - rarity - meds - hard.esp47 2f XFO - 3cb - rarity - meds - med.esp All four of these files are an option for one element of the game and you only should install one of them. This needs to be corrected through out your "load order". Note that this means you need to uninstall ALL of XFO (not merely "disable" because they overwrote themselves and possibly other files), "verify local files" from Steam, and reinstall all your mods. I'm unfamiliar with XFO, but from comments on the download page I would not recommend it. For one thing, as pointed out there this is an "overhaul" last updated in 2011. (We have learned a lot since then.) It is apparently very difficult to uninstall (which is always a bad sign of poor mod making.) It breaks "Freeside Open", which means you need to choose between the two. The "web site" is an ad-soaked navigational nightmare. (I couldn't even find the download page; probably because I heavily filter out unknown and "third-party" sites and "cross-site scripting" I wasn't willing to disable.) And there are more updated alternatives to everything it offers with way fewer ESP files than consuming 1/3 of your "plugin cap" for a single mod. -Dubious-
TheBrickDerp
After following the proper steps, it seems that, oddly enough, the CAM mod is the culprit... which is strange, because it doesn't seem to be a conflict, per se. CAM was one of the first mods I downloaded after MCM, Project Nevada, and Alternate Start, and this problem immediately happened after I activated CAM.Looking in the mod comments on that page, a lot of people experience this bug, too, this junk vortex. Thank you for your help, all! Edited March 18, 2017 by TheBrickDerp
dubiousintent
Assuming "CAM" is the "CAM - Chems Alcohol and Meds by SenterPat" mod (which is not decipherable from the "MoreChems.esp" filename but someone else reported the same problem), have you included the "CAM Patch" to fix the "junk tornado" as mentioned in the download page comments? (FYI: Acronyms are tricksy. You should always spell out the full name followed by the acronym the first time you use it, for clarification.) -Dubious- Edited March 18, 2017 by dubiousintent
