How cool would it be to have The Bedford Flag as a mod or added to an existing flag mod? It was supposedly carried by the Bedford Minutemen to the Battle of Concord at the Old North Bridge on April 19, 1775. Latin on the flag says "Vince Aut Morire", meaning "Conquer or Die"!

Tie it into the Bedford Station location in some way? Maybe have a tattered version of it flying somewhere nearby? Having it be the objective of a Preston quest mod makes sense, too. He would know it was preserved by sealing it away in a climate-controlled vault before the Great War!

@jperry

yeah, that'd be awesome!

there were apparently 3 different variants too -

a 'tartan' one with lilac stitching, (to ridicule the scottish regiments)

known as the "Dandy Bedford". "to give them the dandy" meant to fly that ensign.

This may have been made from multiple kilts sewn together to serve as an ensign.

it was also mocking partly that "mismatch style" from 1730s to 1780s.

so, it may have been all red-tartan,

red, green blue tartan, or possibly with the much rarer beige tartan or the dark brown-purple tartan.

a cream-beige one, "tea-stained" and made from bleached hessian bags.

these were made from the bags of the tea tariff that started it all...

much crude-er than other variants.

and that quintessential iconic american vermillion-blood-red one.

some say it was from stitched red-coats, that doesn't seem as likely though.

some do appear to have been "from sails stained" hehe.

I had heard there was also one,

with the Square and Angle-caliper behind it,

as a round Pub/Tavern sign.

In place of the G was the arm-at-arms

and in place of the "Est Deus Spiritus" etc lodge maxim,

was the maxim of the bedford: "vindicare aut mort"

That variant might be at home at the CIT cambridge bar ruins hehe
