thenextgamer Posted June 26, 2017 Share Posted June 26, 2017 I personally liked the design of the Gauss Rifle from 3 and New Vegas more than the current vanilla design of Fallout 4. I'm surprised no one ever felt the same and made a mod to replace all the gauss rifles to look like their previous iterations. I've certainly tried to look for it, to no avail. If anyone ever gets inspired to make this mod, or if anyone finds a mod that does exactly this, I'd love to see it. It will look absolutely perfect and will match my X-02 power armor. thenextgamer Posted June 27, 2017 Author Share Posted June 27, 2017 you are in for a treat withtumbajamba's suite of mods.the XM73 v2 variant is pretty much the FO2/FONV variant.skibada also has some neat rail-rifle and gauss rifle variants.the railrifle even makes the 'choo-choo' train noise. there's also the MiB parts pack,which has a very gauss-rifle themed variant,and several "enclave themed" parts packs and steampunk weapons.not to mention,WARS, better pipe weapons, and forgotten weapons conversion pack. if you're looking for Wattz lazer rifle from previous titles,look no further than bOHMKA and nacho-cheez's variantsthey are both awesome, together, and they're zeroed to the same parts packs.Well, I mean, not to sound unappreciative. These are all cool weapons but... None of them are what I'm looking for. Tumbajumba's XM73 Gauss rifle, while cool looking on its own right, doesn't look like the old FNV variant. It's not big, it doesn't have the crank on the side, it's not the same at all. Looking up files uploaded by skibada, all of his uploaded mods for Fallout 4 doesn't have any Gauss rifle mods at all, which makes me confused greatly as to why you recommended me to him. so, I can only assume he used to have gauss rifles, but not anymore. This could be a lot easier if you provided links to everything you mentioned in your post... I don't know what the MiB parts pack is, and searching it on Google yielded no results. Searching it on nexus itself doesn't even show anything. What does MiB stand for? And does it replace the vanilla gauss rifle with the gauss rifle exactly in the picture I attached, or is it only just "gauss rifle themed" variant that doesn't look like the picture at all? Finally, the Wattz rifle also isn't what I was looking for. Sorry if I sound snarky or rude. You didn't provide links, so i had to manually search them out for myself. Some of them I found easily, but some of them was nigh impossible to look. All of them weren't the mod I was looking for. Thanks for trying to help, but I really do just want a mod that brings back the Gauss rifle from Fallout New Vegas.
