Request - Is it possible to "Doppler" weapon appearance?

Since the Doppler mod removes the appearance of your body, head, hair and armor and replaces them with nominated parts, is it possible to make a mod that replaces the appearance of your weapon/s with a nominated sword/weapon appearance?

Now, I am not talking about a model swap. That's already been done, but they only work until you level past whatever your swapped weapon was. You can make the sword "Iris" look like the sword "Gwestog", but once you've levelled past Iris you're back in the old boat again.

But if the game thinks "Every sword in your hand looks like Gwestog" and ignores the equipment's real appearance (the same way that Doppler ignores your equipped armors) that would work across all levels.

Given the number of unqiue weapon appearances in the game (and their tendency to be given to you as rewards once you're six levels past them and they're basically wall-hangers), it would be nice to have a weapon that looks the way you want it to look and is actually on your level.

Yup, the mod I've been avoiding since I've never been able to get it to work with Doppler. I'll try again.

You always can disable features which you do not need and keep for example only weapon swap.

Generally speaking it makes no sense to make such weapon swaping mod because it would be reinventing the wheel :) AMM does that well.

Well, after messing with the presets keys to prevent it from overlapping with Doppler's keys, merging via script merger, ten failed loads and then tossing the horse AMM directory, I got it to load alongside Doppler - sometimes. Seems the game will let me load a save file once per game startup. The rest are all infinite loading screens, but it's playable, which is a step further than I've been able to take it in the past.

And AMM works - except for the swords, which just clips the new sword around the old one. Irony. I can make it flame up or disappear on my back, but I can't replace it. I'll mess with the toggles some more in case I've missed something.

Edit: And... almost. An additional conflict was coming out of another mod, Steelisallyouneed. Got rid of that, the overlapping weapons problem ceased, and finally I could make my swords look like how I wanted them to look.

Except now they periodically go invisible in mid combat. AMM does not like to play with others.
