" I guess we'll just have to see..." She said, smiling, " Markarth?" She said, remembering the necromancer who ran the place. " Ever since that man was put in charge the whole place has become a testing ground for his abominations!" She replied, worried for her and her father's safety.

Shadow kissed Selene's hand and was about to say something when she left just like that. He simply shrugged and continued walking around the town. There was little else to do here and surprisingly enough he liked Cheydinhal enough to settle in here for a really long time.

As he enjoyed the pleasant evening in the town and was now sitting on a bench in front of the chapel he heard some people talking about that their count died. "What a shame." The vampire thought. He kind of liked the count, left him alone and did not bother him much. He wondered who's going to become the new Count or Countess of this fine town.

He arose from his seat and headed to the western part of the town where the castle was. It was all too suspicious that the count died the very same day when the Lord Regent and his daughter came to the town. He was about to head to the castle when he saw Selene again. "Back so soon my lady?" He asked.

Cyrus found himself in an excellent mood. He strode through the city, giving coins to beggars, and bought rounds for everyone in the Silver Blood inn. "DRINK! BE MERRY!" He shouts to the bar, tossing a bag of gold at the barkeep. The citizens were happy. When Cyrus got into this frame of mind, it was likely to last months, last time it lasted a whole 2 years.

Shadow listened to what the woman said with the raised eyebrow. Why is she burdening him with her issues? They've just met. Nonetheless he still had an answer for her questions. "You seem old enough to think for yourself and lead the life of your own." Was the only thing he said. It wasn't a really good answer but he wasn't good at comforting or giving advices.

"Of course." Shadow said and led Selene to the same bench he sat on few minutes earlier. This woman was quite interesting. Much more interesting than everyone else who lived there. "Know anything about the unusual death of the count of Cheydinhal?" The vampire asked, he suspected that she knew something. She did say that she had to go to the castle earlier.
