Sims 4 Mods

Vortex 0.17.3

I need some help on packaging mods for Sims 4.

Sims 4 package and script mods go in the Mods directory. These are handled correctly - unless the Mod includes a Mods folder.

Those wind up in Mods/Mods, which is incorrect.

The other category of mods are CC, such as lipstick, lots, and households.

These should go in Tray. Not Mods/Tray - just Tray.

Vortex does not seem to handle those correctly at all. If Tray is not specified, the files just wind up in Mods.

If Tray is specified, they wind up in Mods/Tray, which also does not work at all.

Net result: CC installed using Vortex don't show up in game at all.

I can bug report this - but I wanted to try for some discussion first.

I should add: The Sims 3 and Sims 4 Extensions are done by Black Tree Gaming. And I am sure Sims 3 will have the same problems.

Very possible. Please report it as an issue and I'll look into it.

The mods packaged for games that didn't have mod manager support for the longest times are often packaged very inconsistently and it's just not always possible to support them all correctly but the case you describe should be doable.
