Radiation isn't a problem in my game, but I want it to be. (Bugged)

I am running many mods, so I have no idea which one is the culprit. But radiation behaves weirdly in my game. I can get it by swimming, eating food etc, and wearing radresistant armor makes it less of a threat. So far, so good. But the problem is that somehow it disappears after some time. I can't even pinpoint when or how, but my radiation just vanishes. I think it must be bound to some activity or something (sleeping doesn't reduce my radiation btw). If I remove my armor, I only have like 15 rad resistance, so there isn't anything wrong with that. Once again, the problem isn't not getting radiation, it's that the radiation just vanishes randomly (or so I think).

 

Please help me figure this out - I really want radiation to be a threat! I even installed a mod that makes food give you more rads to make it more of a challenge.

Well, once you get some rads, you can only get them away by using radaway or going to a doctor, save for some other food that may do it too.
But i don't know what half of your mods do, for example, so it is difficult to say anything. Aren't you, by chance, using itens that remove radiation and are not aware?
Looks like you have a few mods that change how Survival works, so maybe there's something in it. Rad Resist shouldn't interfere with it.
Have you tried a new save already? Maybe you installed and then uninstalled a mod and your save is now bugged?

I've tried playing a new game and there is no problem!

Just wondering if it might come back, because if I remember correctly, I had this problem a few years ago.. But who knows.

If playing on survival, try not to sleep while the effect of any chem or medicine or etc is on your character. Seens this a bug of survival and who knows if this can bug radiation too :s
