Script to have button cycle through materials on a static object

For Example, I want to have a button in a cell and when you press it, it preforms a material swap on a selected .nif(Static Object) In the cell and then each consecutive press goes to the next one until its back at default, (Lets say there is 5 materials) all set up in the CK as Material Swaps.

 

If this can't be done how would I go about it using Events and States, if I need more than 2.

It can also be done through destruction stages. You can apply the same model with different material swaps for different levels of damage, and then create a script that damages it enough to show the next destruction stage each time you press the button.
