Spawn NPCs with a Holotape

Hi, everyone, I was looking for a mod for the PC where you can spawn NPCs using a holotape. I really loved this mod from Bradenm60 (not sure if thats his correct username) and he had a mod that does just this on the Xbox One called (WIP) Spawn NPCs. He had sections that were divided into friendly NPCs and default NPCs (friendlies will automatically come to your aid be it Super Mutants, Raiders, etc) and even had the Companions (not the exact Companions) and clones! I really loved that mod, but he did not port it for PC use. I would really love to see something like that as I believe a mod like that would make things more fun and easier instead of always having to use the console. I apologize if I made any errors in this forum as I'm new to Nexus.

Thank you for any help offered and I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and New Years (if you had it yet in your country),

Heyas Tren! Happy New Year to you too!

I am not familiar with the tape by Braden that you speak of. have you tried out his Cheat Room mod for PC, available at Bethesda.net? it has a holotape that can access a lot of the cheats from his mod.

It's been a few weeks since I've played, and I never really messed much with the NPC stuff in the holotape. (I was afraid I'd break something or get stuck with somebody that I didn't want hanging around) but I do remember that it's got some stuff for NPCs in it.

I also do apologize, I won't go to the bethesda site anymore, so I can't look it up to find a link for you. But you can find it easy enough thru the in game mod downloader, as the Cheat Room is always one of the most popular mods.

I do remember that when I was on the PS4, there was a mod that would let you craft clones of a lot of the NPCs from the workbench. Sadly tho, that was a year ago, and I don't remember the name of the mod. :(

But I hope this helps a little ;)

Cheers!

Thank you for the response! I am actually attempting to recreate the mod and add more to it and hopefully use it for personal use as I would not like to copy Braden's work and take it for credit. It is difficult as I do not know how to make a script to spawn the NPCs. I have been successful in creating the menu, but I would really like to learn how to spawn NPCs as soon as you click the option, but the Papyrus scripting seems like it'll take a while to do each and every NPC.

Tren- Ahhhhh, I see! You're wanting to use the mod for reference material :)

I know that at one point, he had his own website, that had links that pointed to his mods on bethesda. Sadly tho, I was not able to find it thru several yahoo searches. :(

You might try looking through the scripts in a mod called Cheat Terminal (also a big popular mod at bethesda) which also has some NPC spawning capabilities, and AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks) May also give you some pointers.

I can honestly say that I haven't tried scripting for this game. So I'm not familiar with all of the tools. I have seen a couple that may be of interest tho. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7473 c# to papyrus converter

decompiler for pex files, so that you can edit them. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3742 (CK probly does this too?)

papyrus compiler - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7380 (CK probly does this?)

I wish that I could be more help than that :(
