EvelynnShadowalker
I'm tired of Skyrim CTDing for obvious reason (corrupt saves, mod conflicts, extra Bethesda stuff) so I want to uninstall every mod, remove all traces of it, reinstall Skyrim itself, and start the process again. I've had no problems till this year, when the number of mods had reached a point of "Hurm, I'll just install this without checking if it could cause any problems". Many of the mods I don't even use anymore. Can anyone be kind enough to give me a step by step tutorial in how to go about this the cleanest way? Just nuking Skyrim completely? Is it anything like Oblivion? Because I know how to send that to hell (Oh the puns :P) Thanks in advance! *mwah*
korun
backup your Skyrim local file with steam, you will have a steam\backupthen del all files related to skyrimc:\my doc...\my games\skyrimc:\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim backup or rename your c:\games\nexusmodmanager, it's where NMM store all the 7z/rar files if you want to keep some of your mod clean registry and defrag your disk go back to steam, install game from backup, it takes few minutes + dl all DLCs if you have any (this process + Dawnguard takes 10 min max) you are good to go with a brand new vanilla skyrim@@ Edited March 8, 2013 by korun

korun
use CCleaner for the registry, 1 button to find any, error you will have many, 1 button to clean all of them, it will backup your files don't worry, they can be restored at any time then defrag the disk with Win defrag or the tool you like the most this way everything will run smoothly @@
