Skyrim was running fine a few weeks ago with 3 times the animations and mods, The game was smooth.

Now all of a sudden shadow are pixelated and my game freezes on weapon contact with 3 times less mods and animations than usual.

When the new Nvidia drivers came out a few days ago and I hadnt downloaded it yet skyrim all of a sudden got infinite loadingscreens (This never happens ever)I cleaned my pc of pointless programs and installed the new driver, now skyrim ran but it froze on 2nd weapon contact in combat and shadows are pixelated.

The game use to run smoothly with 3 times the mods and animations and I even had an ENB preset that ran beautifully, but now with less programs, a cleanre pc and updated drivers its giving me problems that I only experience years ago when I had a potato for a pc.

I have a gaming Dell Laptop with a GTX 1050 Graphics card and an i5 Processor. It should not be doing this

by 3 times the animations and mods do you mean the amount ? "game freezes on weapon contact" what do you mean ? do you mean that whenever you hit something with your sword in-game the game freezes ?

either way latest GPU drivers are some times experimental and can be the cause of lot of issues in-game , i would suggest you to revert to the previous one , as for the shadows run your "SkyrimSElauncher" and check in options>advanced>shadow quality if the box is set on low , medium , high or ultra

EDIT maybe the cause of your low shadows is the enb itsef if you tinkered with the values it might broke the preset , in that cause i would suggest you to clean the enb and then re-install it

or maybe try this solution before re-instaliing the enb (i found this on the net, it might work) "Open your ENB ingame by pressing Shif+Enter and find SKYLIGHTING on the left side of the ENB window. Change the Quality and Filter Quality to HIGH. Click Apply settings at the top and Save changes"
