  1. In response to post #24578789. #24579599, #24579684 are all replies on the same post. Modding is in essense more of a community effort that has built on what came before them, than what some modders imagine. Speaking of the "frankenstein" modding tools as you say, who made them? Where's their cut if the end-modder starts to charge their mod? Who educated them to mod, whose knowledge and tools enabled them to mod, where's their cut? All the mod managers, mod tools, and great many more indirectly vital tools. Who helped the bug fixing, who helped the newbies on the forum, where's their cut? All of this was fair when all of it was free and none of them had their cut. Now it isn't. Do modders deserve money for "their" mod? Certainly, to an extent, but not entirely. Is it only a form of donation... as a whole, no modding comnunity has ever had strong objection to this donation thing for modders; that option has always been there. As long as it is not a disguised paywall (I do not necessarily mean chesko is making paywall), donation always has been accepted. Anyways, I hope they'd not be using the student-licensed max.
  2. I'm sleepy... :{
  3. Good, now it's a lot easier to find Morrowind mods. (and people won't misregister their mods as Morrowind anymore)
  4. Thanks for comment. Problem is solved. It looks like... some graphic cards have problem with displaying some of .dds formats... I tried several formats and finally he posted his working screenshot on my mod. It was my fault.
  5. Thanks for comment. and screenshot. Actually This isn't solved yet because he didn't respond. I hope changing texture format will solve that. Edit: Still I don't know what's the problem...this is strange. Maybe sometime someone can find out... :wallbash:
  6. Hi! I need help. Someone said my clothes are just black in game. This is forum thread. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=632917 Given that my mod is not a replacer, so does not need archaive invalidation. It only requires universal skeletons and has nothing to do with black textures. When I tested in my vanilla oblivion folder it was normal. As far as I know, black textures usually have something to do with texture file itself(especially normal map) or video memory, but no missing texture, and probably not wrong. And if video memory is the problem, he wouldn't feel only my mod is wrong. texture format is DXT5 interpolated alpha. Is there something what I'm missing? If that is in my part, I should fix that. and anyway I must help him.
  7. Hi. I made some clothes for oblivion using blender 2.49b, and as I said, it works perfectly(at least I think). But in nifskkope, only my textures don't show up. 'skin' texture in the same file normally shows up. All other .nifs are as they supposed to be. Given that I'm completely noob to 3D work- actually those are my first 3d models ever, teach me what am I missing. I want to prevent all possible future problem in my files. Here are my failed tries. -Updated texture path (auto detect ) -Sanitize->adjust texture sources. I don't know what exactly is this, but I thought this has something to do with it. -And sanitized all 4 (except collapse link arrays). but this seems useless because auto-sanitize on save option is turned on. -Changed material names. ex) someothername->cloth Any comment will be helpful...
  8. It is normal. don't worry about CS view. x117 races do that because those use differently scaled head, eyes etc.
  9. Hello. Yesterday I completed 4 meshes for BreakUndies, and tested if those work. I want my mod to support BU WITHOUT modifying .ini file. Modifying .ini file is very easy, but still some players can be confused even if I instruct how to register my esp to downloader's ini file. and it can make players somewhat annoyed... I'm not very familiar to OBSE scripts. I don't know any programming language except for matlab. I'm always confused whenever I encounter array functions in OBSE scripts...:P So my question is: Is there BUv2-applied .esp file somewhere? I found several BUv1 armor mods, but those use old script. If there is, maybe I can figure out howto from that mod. If not, maybe I must use v1 script or just .ini file. Of course, if someone instruct me directly that would be very thankful. I don't have any ideas of how to apply that attached callback.txt to esp.
