  1. Hi guys, I am about to embark on a new modding project to re-do the Manticore armor textures. However, looking at the vanilla diffuse maps, they all have a red and blue colour instead of the actual colours you see in-game. When I originally worked on the Viper armor, it wasn't like this. Is this UV mapping or something? Is there a way to get rid of it so I can work on the actual colours instead of having to meticulously re-colour in every little thing? I am using Photoshop CS6, so if anyone has any advice on this, I would be very grateful!
  2. I know its been a very long time, but has anyone succeeded with this? I always found it really odd that the contextual elements all worked correctly for controller, but when using keyboard and mouse, the skill bar remained static. It really should also be contextual. I remember contacting Bioware about this at the time, but they pretended not to understand the problem. Now it is apparent that they actually may not have been able to make it work? Is this even possible? Frostbite must be so much more unwieldy than people say... Anyway, any progress on this?
  3. That's a shame, the old UI is so much better and much easier to navigate.
  4. Once I started noticing how Geralt kicks up plumes of dust on surfaces that would NOT logically do that, like wooden floor surfaces, it has bothered me to the point of it becoming really irritating. So maybe someone can either fix this or maybe just remove the dust plumes altogether?
  5. Hi guys, Would really appreciate it if someone would make a mod that removes Sentinals from the game, or at least reduce their likelihood of showing up. I find it annoying to always have to watch out for them when harvesting materials. It is not a fun game mechanic, it is just annoying. Thanks!
  6. Well....this is a great illustration of how bringing back "the original look" of a character doesn't always work, especially when you try to be as faithful as possible to the original source. Within the context of the Witcher 3 game, this just looks absolutely horrible. Instead, you should go for an "interpretation" that will sit more comfortably in the game. Your efforts are commendable, but like I said, this face mod makes Geralt look all kinds of wrong.
  7. Could someone please port this mod - excellent AutoPointOfView mod - to Skyrim SE? https://mega.nz/#!wpoBmAKR!RyhQ-MMgEercO4_W_1p8KT1LTQauVGCMqR9HjszfmO8
  8. All you need is the TGA file and a normal map file if you have changed more than just the color of the eye. Then you need to simply cook the mod using Mod Kitchen. (I probably don't need to mention you also need to have the Mod Kit installed for Mod Kitchen to work)
  9. Don't use NMM for Witcher 3 mods. It doesn't work with a lot of important mods. Use the Witcher 3 Mod Manager instead, or learn to do it manually. https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2678
  10. Yeah, I never really succeeded in making the chainmail much darker or changing the color. CDPR either uses different texture maps in really weird ways, or I'm just too stupid to understand. With the E3 2014 version I did however manage to darken it very slightly but trying to go any further always just end up breaking the chainmail textures. It would be interesting to see if someone can do it right, but I have been asking for help with this since I started modding this armor and never really found an answer. Everyone has "theories" on how to achieve it, but no one actually proves that it can be done.
  11. If you think drawing swords from his back would be an impossible feat, you should see him take down monsters. Drawing swords will seem like brushing your teeth.
  12. The Creation Kit is a Bethesda modding tool so no, you won't get anything done with that. The Witcher 3 modding tools are VERY limited. It has taken experienced modders a very long time to find ways to go beyond the basic texture modding and script changes. And even now, what can be done is very very limited. What you are trying to achieve would be a colossal task, if at all possible. I've seen so many fresh young enthusiasts like you showing up here with grand plans of elaborate mods. They all fade away sooner or later.
  13. Your best option is Absolute Camera. I highly recommend it. But walking and running uses the same camera state, so it is not possible to separate those. You can however customize the sprinting camera to your liking.
  14. I hate to chime in with the others because my first impression when I saw the new design was positive. But having used it, I absolutely hate it! What a confusing mess! Seriously guys... At the very least, please remove the obnoxious "View Mod" mouse-over icon! It is naturally intuitive to know if you click on a mod tile, it will load up the mod page. We don't need the icon! People use the mouse cursor as they visually scan over mods and this makes the experience incredibly annoying!
