  1. I'll soon stop responding to this thread because I just keep repeating myself, but you and other users making this same argument are completely missing the point. The problem isn't wanting to have your PC be completely straight or even turning gay characters straight. The latter is a very sensitive topic, but for the sake of not upsetting you all more I won't go into detail. There are mods on the Nexus that turn canonically gay characters straight, e.g. the 'Dorian Romance for Female Inquisitor' mod, which are still up after years. I think that is reasonable; it's absolutely not the type of mod I would use, but users living out their fantasies do not undermine the canon sexuality of a character. Those types of mods are also not necessarily made with ill intent in my opinion, and, yes, if mods turning straight characters gay exist, the opposite should be allowed too. I think the same of 'straight Skyrim' mods. If you hate characters of the same sex hitting on you that much, it's your game and your choice. In fact, a mod like that was made in November, called 'Attraction'. Now, where does the difference lie with those two 'straight marriage' mods? The intent. All the afore mentioned mods are not made with ill intent, they are not made to offend people or stir up drama, they are merely users/authors adapting the game to their fantasies. Those two 'straight marriage' mods however, were very clearly made with ill intent. Both users had a clear history of controversial content; the first user also uploaded a mod which made two DEAD characters straight, and the other one uploaded mods that removed females from leveled lists and had an... interesting twitter history. Nexus is no place for 'joke' mods that are made to troll and offend people. The 'gay marriage' and 'no straight marriage' mods were made in response to the straight one, and they were taken down as well. I suggest you read up on the Paradox of tolerance.
  2. The idealogues don't care about statistics or the game. Everything they touch decays and posions. Skyrim, other video games, fantasy realms, no bridge is too far for these people. Now the Mods got pulled because the idealogues always play this zero sum game where if doesn't fit their world view it has to burn. Touch grass. You're making a big deal out of nothing and acting like free speech is dying because mods that were obviously made with the intention of offending people were removed. Which is complete bullshit, because plenty of people dislike those oversexualized waifu mods too but no-one is advocating to take those down because that would be unreasonable. If anything, a lot of users always throw fits over any LGBTQ+-related mods (e.g. the Pronouns one), which doesn't affect them in any way.
  3. The whole debacle surrounding those mods really opened my eyes to how awful the vocal minority of the Nexus userbase truly is. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with how every week there's some kind of sex or female body mod in the hot files, but I was very disappointed by how users were trying to justify the existence of those mods by pretending that it was just a sexual preference mod with no ill intent. Even though both mod authors had a history of uploading controversial mods that are obviously meant to offend and stir drama. The Nexus is no place for those types of mods; I'm all for modding the game how you want, but I am beyond tired of authors making mods for the sake of offending people. This isn't the first time, and absolutely not the last time.
  4. I agree. I'm in the same boat as you, as I'm hesitant to block mod authors who post generic followers because I'm afraid they might end up making a custom-voiced one and I'll miss out on it because I blocked them. Like Jeir said, I think too that the 'Follower' and 'Companion' category were supposed to differentiate vanilla-voiced and custom-voiced followers respectively, but they're all mixed up now so it's kinda annoying.
  5. I'm in between... I obviously appreciate custom voiced followers more than any of these vanilla voice followers, I rarely download or even keep these vanilla voice followers in my game. However, I don't think that all these vanilla voice followers are necessarily bad. Some of them have a lot of effort put into them; ex. custom armor, warpaint, skin, backstory, ... basically the whole package expect a custom voice. Emphasis on 'some' though, for every high-effort follower mod you have to go through 5 low-effort follower mods...
  6. I don't understand why some modders who quit modding delete all their mods too. Why not just end support by discontinuing work on the mods and closing the posts, forum and bugs tab? I feel like deleting them makes all the hard work you put in the mod go to waste. Is it because keeping them up creates some sort of pressure to continue modding again?
  7. Well, it's available. I can't download it because my pc is lacking, so can someone who is downloading it and going to try it out report back about the pack?
  8. I mean no offense but... have you considered joining the Beyond Skyrim: Morrowind (https://www.darkcreations.org/forums/forum/142-morrowind-the-star-wounded-east/) team instead of setting another Morrowind project up? They have the exact same goal as you, expect that they're already further and have a bigger team. (again, no offense) It's just humble advice, you are under no obligation to join them. If you want to continue with your project, I obviously won't stop you, and I wish you good luck. EDIT: I see in the comments of your mod that you've already thought about joining them, I'm sorry for bringing it up.
  9. Haven't downloaded it yet, how much does the mod fit in Fallout? Is it worth playing if you're looking for a new and original vault experience, or is it rather generic?
  10. Followers as Companions (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62863/?) makes followers walk beside you rather than behind you. Move it Dammit (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4020/?) increases the distance companions walk if you bump into them, this might help if they get in your way. Setting the in-game difficulty to 'legendary' may help. Revenge of the Enemies 2016 (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40491/?) supposedly makes enemies a lot stronger. If you got some space left, you could take a look at Skyrim Immersive Creatures. (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24913/?) It adds a bunch of new creatures to Skyrim not only helping with diversity, but also makes the game harder. Duel - Combat Realism (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2700/?) also makes combat harder. A last suggestion; if you're looking for more followers, Interesting NPCs (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8429/?) adds a bunch of followers, a few of them are 'super followers' aka. followers with dialogue for a lot of locations and quests. It's a huge mod though, but it's worth it. EDIT: I recommend you to look for a replacement for Cerwiden though. She's a great follower, but she hasn't been updated for a very long time (She's pre-Dawnguard) so she could cause some problems.
  11. Interesting. What is it though? Is it some sort of mutant that uses the merry-go-round as an armor, a crazed robot or something else? EDIT: Or, simply a haunted merry-go-round
  12. You like Fallout 4? "You're just a stupid console kid that only cares about shooting! Obsidian makes the best Fallout games!" You dislike Fallout 4? "You only dislike it because of nostalgia, Fallout 4 is superior to every other Fallout! Bethesda makes the best Fallout games!"
  13. No official word yet. All the talk about "winners/losers" (if you'd bother to read the T&C, everyone on that page won SOMETHING, so technically there are no losers) is based on the last known vote counts. Whoa, buddy, I think you know what I mean by 'winners'. I know everyone won something, I never called the others losers, did I?
  14. Just curious, has Nvidia already released something concerning the winners? Last I checked on the mod contest page the votes were disabled, but there was no list yet of the winners or anything.
  15. Whoa, when did Modern Firearms get so much votes? Seems like that mod is gonna win, that's gonna cause some huge problems since most assets in the mod are made by other people.
