Looks much better than the old version. Was worth the wait.

The number of mods already went down from over a thousand a week to under 100. That is a massive decrease. Still there are great mods being released on a weekly basis that fix many annoying things in the base game. They just don´t get much attention due to the relatively small user base the game still has. Four months after release the biggest game of 2023 (at least in terms of marketing, hype, expectations) hardly has over 15.000 players on Steam. The two best ways to increase the player numbers again is a steep discoint (the game is already available for under 40 €/$) and working extremely hard, patching the game, releasing new features and giving the fan base the feeling that the devs actually care.

It was a huge mistake from Bethesda to not release the CK together with the game. My guess is that they are planning a big creation club type thing for Starfield, Skyrim and FO4 combined that needs a lot of preparation. Until it is out next year, most people have moved on from the game already. That includes modders and mod-creators. They don't release the modding tools with the game, as that complicates their bug hunt. After all, several million players are going to find more bugs than the comparatively few play-testers used in-house. I think the last time the CK came with the game, was Morrowind..... :D Was fixing bugs not the job of the mod-creators anyway with Bethesda games? ;)

I know that it is tempting to compare this two games, but there are major differences. Skyrim was already a great game when it lauched in 2011. Starfield is a mediocre game. Skyrim is an exception. Fallout 4 is a better comparison for Starfield in my opinion. I hope that you are right, but I am not sure, if it´s realistic expectations.

Fo4 fully modded in 2023 is a much better game than Starfield right now. Fo4 also has Far Harbor and to a lesser degree Nuka World. Starfield needs some expansions on that level to make this "universe" actually interesting.
