  1. Never mind, Figured out a few hours ago that if I want Vortex to see Fallout 4, I need to move the file. Moving the file from onboard hard drive to the sd card got it to work.
  2. I'm having a similar problem. I get Vortex installed and running threw Steam/proton. But then I have to search for FO4 manually and can't. Vortex can't find it under the normal home/deck/.local/share/steam/steamapps/common. My guess is this is because Vortex is looking for windows directories rather then SteamOS.
  3. @zdswulyx That is like asking a room full of people what is the best pizza toppings. We'll all agree on a base line of mods that change the Mesh and Texture packs. Then we'll each give you personal preferencesthat you really should look into for your self. Most listed starts with the Unofficial patches then list the four following before telling you to download Roberts better male and HGEC female. Qarl's Texture Pack Bomret's Texture Pack Improved Trees and Flora 2 Weather - All Natural Three pages you may want to look first are Oblivion Modding Guide, TES IV: Oblivion Modding Guide, 2014 Edition and even if its out of date and most of the links are busted the Beautifying Oblivion the Complete Guide from 2008. They each list a number of options that are based around improving the look and game play from the vanilla experience.
  4. Got a reminder this evening about a mod you might want to look at, the Setsuna Dummy Training takes the in game training dummies and makes them work. Like casting "Open Very Easy Lock" on a cabinet to raise your Alteration magic. This mod makes it so you level up your skills shooting hay bails and waking chaindoll's.
  5. Just disable DarNified and re-enable it again with OBMM. This happens when you change a setting and it affects the ini file. I've had it happen a few times when I've messed or removed the file.
  6. A quick google search pointed out to me that while lead was not used in pencils. The Romans and other cultures of that times did use a righting styles that was made most often of lead and used on wax tablets. Sort of a pre-dark ages PDA that allowed you to take notes and gave you the option of clearing your work with a swipe of the wide "Eraser" end or by warming the wax. As for the word pencil it comes from the Latin word pencillus. And has as some one pointed out about been using Graphite since the 16th century. As for "Get the lead out" is actually shortened from "Get the lead out of your pants" Or "Get the lead out of your ass" which was meant to motivate a slower person who is acting like their weighted down.
  7. Think I have a few that haven't been listed. Their not so well knows which might be why they've been missed. themythofanst has done work on creatures both SI and Vanilla Oblivion. Also some retex of armor and weapons. Koldorn did some good work with cave, sewer, lava textures. amnes did a lot of work on HD statues, tree bark, Kavatch, Cathedral's, Cloud Ruler Temple and the Arena. Imperial City Reloaded V2 takes the imperial city itself and add these great little details to the stone work. Really its like they took the details from the Arc de Triomph or Notre Dame Cathedral as inspiration and used the capital stone work as their canvas. Honest I prefer the Better Imperial City Textures for my own game but really there are about four or five other ones to try. Parallax Cities Giga-Pack which takes the vanilla textures and give them more depth with out the fps rate drop. Good for your PC if you have issues from all thos eHD Textures. Enhanced Magic Effects for when you get sick of the vanilla game magic effects I like it more when you pair it up with Morrowind Style Enchantment Shaders. And last Unique Signs to change up those old tired ones. Some one once told me that the best house mod you'll ever find is the one you make. Its the same with textures, Ask every where for something new and different. And don't forget to save the ones that you like for later re-installs.
  8. Strotis rustic pieces scarecrow might be something that could work for you if your looking for something static that can act as a target dummy. http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/101/images/35572-1-1289141183.jpg
  9. I've seen something like this when using ENB's that use the sweet effects folder. Does this cause the in game body's of water to disappear when you enter them?
  10. Also before I forget you'll need to download the Corean race mod by idkrrr. Xeno hasn't updated the links since they split Morrowind and Oblivion from the former tesnexus.com. You just need the mesh and texture files not the esp. The Chocolate Elves are based on them originally.
  11. There are two files listed under Main files, the first is a 7zip and the second is an OMOD. If you select the "Open with" option you should be able to open with the NMM, OBMM or a number of other options. If you save it and it will appear under your download files. If you download the OMOD then it will open ether NMM or OBMM and you can use them to load the file. If its a save then you can transfer the file to your Oblivion folder or it should open OBMM if you double click or right click and select to open with OBMM. If you down loaded the 7zim you can also use OBMM to crate the file as normal assuming its all there. The first dozen times I tried down loading all five Blood&Mud files. I had incomplete files and they didn't unpack properly.
  12. Try their site for help, and don't forget to have OBMM installed. From the sound of it you might have downloaded the 7zip file then tried opening it as a OMOD. Downloading the OMOD version should have opened OBMM once you clicked on the file, or once it finished down loading.
  13. I haven't got to playing this one myself, My system needs to be updated before I can. So I've been watching more let's plays then I care to admit. Watching I felt like they put the same pressure on finding your son as they did for finding your dad in FO3. When you think about it they are giving you the same threat vs freedom that Bethesda is famous for. They don't force you to complete the game in a set amount of time like the first Fallout with its deadline. While they are agiving you that freedom, its more how much time do you wish to spend on the main quest vs the side quest. By the way, I looked up Fallout 4 on Leaderboard. The current speed runners listed having completing the main quest between one and two hours. That could give you inspiration for getting your tail in gear and finishing the main quest.
  14. Quick question, are you using and ENB that uses the sweet effects file? I've had issues where it comes across like your picture after you enter the water.
  15. This might help us, help you. Are you using Steam or the CD? Steam has an additional removal function that might help removal. Also if all else fails you can delete the folder from its installed position.
  16. Play Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Wasteland and/or Wasteland 2. If you think about it there is a library of games to play before FO4 comes around.
  17. I know of a few player homes made by Lemunde where you purchases a book and having that book on you adds a teleportation spell to your spell list. If I may give you a few changes to what your requesting, Start as Tamira said using Stroti's Aladdin lamp. You can have the lamp washed ashore on say Anvil Harbor near the light house. Adding it to your inventory would give you two spells "Summon the Genie" and "Teleport to the lamp". The genie could function as both a companion and a shop keeper that will buy all your items off you. The lamp can be a treasure cave full of gold and gems with some rooms that look like something out of Ali Baba's place.
  18. Watch MMO Champion. Every few months they put out recommendations for four builds that range from $500 to $2,000. They also link the parts on Amazon to make it easier for first time builders. Also they have a forum thread dedicated to building/maintaining gaming rigs like the Hardware and software discussion here. MMO just put out new builds the week so take a look at what they have to offer.
  19. Those mods where from back when Morrowind and Oblivion mods where grouped as TESNexus. When they changed to reflect the individual games a code was set up to send any one looking for the old addresses to the main games page. Seems that many older posters and mod authors never got the memo to update their post.
  20. Male, I'm a guy and tend to play as a guy. I did make one exception, that was when I started playing wow and modeled a character after my then girl friend
  21. http://www.oblivion.lima-city.de/files/plugins.html Scroll down to Surprise and you'll find that Snusmumriken or some one close to them has done what they could to port Skyrim armors to Oblivion.
  22. Try the program Face Exchange Lite. It would let you draw the face of any NPC or edit your own game saves. I used it once to get Bittneld face for a game save then imported it using wrye Basah to a game save. As for getting the emperor's robe just do the sewer system then ether use the console command "coc testinghall" to get it from the clothing room and fast travel where ever in game. or the command "player.additem 00023D33 1" and "player.additem 00023D53 1" to add his robe and shoes to your bags. The real trick is getting it off the PC on to your Xbox. I'm not sure how your going to do that.
  23. Are you using an ENB or some other program that changes the look of the game? I've had a issue that is something like this when using one. The easy fix. Go into steam and right click to open the properties, then turn off the overlay under the general tab.
  24. Wyre bash can be annoying some times. You may have to do it that step several times to get it to switch to the ESP. It will also help to remove the ESM from your data folder so it wont keep switching back. Remember that you don't have to delete it if you plan on editing later, just remove it to a different folder.
