Well only because you asked for them. Waalx Animals & Creatures. This changes the game quite a bit depending on how many of the mods you use. Better Cities. Think of your home town, Now turn it into the largest city you've been to. That is what this mod does for the cities in Oblivion. Unique Landscapes. Name says it all, this cahnges a good deal of the in game fields, woods, rivers and streams to make it a wild park like Bush Gardens. You also might want to look into the Most endorsed files of all-time and see if there are somethings there that catch your eye.

Do you guys ever play Fallout like THIS?
Aurasoma replied to charwo's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
WOW, what a set up. How many people have PMed you for the mod list? -
Once upon a time there was a forum on the steam pages for Oblivion titled Beautifying or Beautification Oblivion. Thats a little hard to get these days since steam moved to a mod and youtube community. First off I'd like to have you make a save some where of the base game file. This is if you ever change your minds and want to purge the back log of changes you've made. Mines is kept on a flash drive that I keep in a desk draw. Next you should head over to the wiki and read How to install Oblivion mods and look at the simple diagram. Then take two aspirin and call me in the morning. This is because I fear your head may blow up if your not ready for it. I know I wasn't and had files in all the wrong places as well as missing files when I first tried to do it myself. Next down load and install the following programs OBMM, BOSS and Wyre Bash. If you need help there are pages on the wiki for using those and many of them have their own websites with Q&A pages. If your having additional issues you can spam the forums for more help like your currently are doing. Please note that I've been playing a modded oblivion since 2009 and about 80% of the time my installations have been done manually, save for a few where it was got threw OBMM or not have the mod at all. Those times where I did use OBMM its been as simple as save the 7zip file into OBMM's Mod's folder and use OBMM to unpack and convert it over to something OBMM will use. When it comes to using OBMM to add files to Oblivion, its as simple as clicking activate and answering a few pop up windows. Next Patches Down load the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, If your running the xpacs for Oblivion also download the Unofficial Official Mods Patch and Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch. These will be done with OBMM and are meant to fix some issues with the game that Bethesda never got around to. Next down load Robert's Male Body Replacer V 5.2, (Your choice of female body mods) and New Face Textures. This will add the better skin packs that should fix your blotchy Fallout face problems. I would go on with more things you can do to change the game, but really I'm not a mind reader and don't know how far you want to go. A good idea after this is to visit the Top 100 most endorsed files or spam here at what others are doing to their games. But watch out thatr you go to far. My current system that I'm using handled Skyrim better with the settings down to low then it did a heavily modded Oblivion. Think of walking from main gates of IC to the bridge and having the game crash one forth of the way down the slope.

What's wrong with my CM Companions?
Aurasoma replied to GunnerofLife's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I could use some more details on your problems. It makes it easier to solve them. :psyduck: First when you say their getting left behind do you mean they have trouble keeping up with you. Or do you leave them some where and they getting lost? The first is fixed by changing their gear, some times I've given a CM Partner a set of heavy gear and they have issues keeping up. I ended up giving mine a light armor set and hope they don't go running after a mob. They can also have issues keeping up if their energy is set to something other then 100%. The second problem can be fized by opening the CS and adjusting their energy. As for the second there was a way to tag a CMP with a quest icon. I'd have to look up how to do it since I can't recall how to. The wall cliping issue comes from where the door spawns to close to a wall. Some regulare spots I've seen that happen are Divine Elegance and the Count's Arms. It helps to keep the partners ring equiped and as one of your hot keys. Walking dowen the road from the stuck partner will offten cause they to apper behind you, If you want them to get away from the wall a little faster then unequip/reequip the partners ring and they will apper behind you. Hope these help you out. -
Can't add custom cm partners? - game crashes
Aurasoma replied to VocalGoblin's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
The smallest thing can cause a crash. Last year I had gotten a custom skin for a race. I tried to get an existing CM partner to work with it. How ever upon entering the area that CM Partner spawned cause the game to crash. Later after pulling the re-textured race and CM Partner I had the game crash on loading. Pulling the Partners mod entirely caused it to crash on launch. :psyduck: The truth is that there are a number of issues that pop up with the CM Partner mod itself that I've messaged Blackie about. But I've never got the answers. He seems to have a save word doc that he replies with. Which is understandable as his inbox would other wise be filled with both Complaints and Bug reports. -
I'd say that its people mod the city they like or don't. They see some place they love and want to make it better. Or they see something wrong with a place and think they can improve it. As for me I never really stopped for long in Skingrad. Unless a quest took me there I tended to avoid the place. That and I really never like Glarthir, SO I avoided ever running into him by not going to Skingrad.

Ask before had if you can. A number of people have gone from Nexus recently, Moving on to other games or this thing called life. I had wanted to get NEC's permission originally when I made a CM partner and released it on to the nexus. How ever since I never got a reply, I opted to credit NEC and the other moders in both the readme and description. But the fact is that you always give credit to the original mod when you use it for your work. In fact when you down load one of Apachii's store mods, you will find a folder of the original readme's. As for a youtobe video I'd include the author names and mod title in your description if not the links to mods you used. This will save you both time and spam later when people start IMing you about the barrels seen in the back ground at 3:26 to 3:31. Not that people will IM you about barrels, I think.

Have to agree with Lanceor, every one will hand you a different list. This will normally come with a few choice mods and their fav's attached. Many of the ones I'm listing use the Oblivion mod manager to install so you'll first need to down load it. Its also a good idea to get BOSS to manage your mod list. Its also good if you have a decent gaming rig to run them on. My list starts with Patches. These fix some bugs existing in the official mods that where never cleaned up by the developers. Unofficial Oblivion Patch Unofficial Official Mods Patch Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch If you don't want to do the starter dungeon grab Alternate Start Revamped In addition the following mods really changes the graphics turning IC, City/states and the local landscapes in the province of Cyrodiil. Better Cities Unique Landscapes Qarl's Texture Pack 3 Bomret Texture Pack for Shivering Isles These next ones when used together change the weather system in game and add a view the the games default Shops and Homes. Weather - All Natural Immersive Interiors Immersive Interiors Landscape AddOn Next some new audio. Sounds of Cyrodiil Oblivion Stereo Sound Overhaul Symphony of Violence - Combat Sound Enhancement Additional Music Pack Finally some personal fav's, Waalx Animals & Creatures. This adds a number of the real sword mods to the game as well as a number of newer armor and Mobs. Depending on what ESP's you use it will also change the Legion Guards to dress more like roman soldiers and the arena tosses 5 combatants at you. Not the one your use to. As for homes you'll want to spend a day and look threw the Abodes - Player homes on Nexus. The same can be said with other categories of Armor, Weapons, Models And Textures.

Cheak the data folder to see if they where added properly. First time I ever tried adding files, I didn't pay attention and they where being added into something along the lines of Oblivion/Data/(mod name here)/Data/ESP, Mesh and Text. BTW this was long before the Mod Manager.

Reinstalled, now crashes immediately
Aurasoma replied to chivs688's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I'm seeing the same issue. It started Saturday when I opened the CS and got the message that "d3dx9_42.dll file is Missing or Not Found". The problem continued after a recommended restart followed by making sure that all drivers and DirectX where properly installed. Following this I verified the "Integrity of the game cash" under steam and found it was a missing a few files which is then down loaded. Before I opened the CS I opened to see if the game files still worked. Before doing that BOSS to make sure the mods where lined up right. How ever loading Oblivion the saved game files would cause the game to crash to my desk top. So I then deleted the the the Oblvion.ini found in My Games\Oblivion only to have it continue crashing when I tried loading the game, BTW before you ask a new game caused the same issue. Currently after a few re-installs (to see if that would fix the problem) I now have the same crashing to desk top issue. -
WAC - Birds&Insects adds both into the game, they function much like the insects you'll see in some areas of the game. But I'm guessing that's not what you want right? If your thinking of the Cliff Racers or the Netch found throughout Morrowind then you might be out of luck. I've only seen one mod that adds the Cliff Racer as a animated resource. Been looking for it on a few sites myself but I haven't found it.

I didn't get a chance to try any of those before today. But one of the updates for windows 7 has seemed to fix the problem for the time being.
-
I've all ready got both and it didn't help. I've also tried adding it to a laptop with no mods to see if I could get around the problem that way. I got the same problem as soon as I clicked the face tab under any NPC.

Any recommendations that might help fix this? Bedsides turn off all other programs that I might have had running.

I was looking to customize a few CM Partners from the default look that the authors had given them to some of the newer coolsims and Cazy hairs I've gotten custom to. How ever when I open the CS NPC window the program becomes unresponsive and I get the following message from Windows. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: TESConstructionSet.exe Application Version: 1.2.0.404 Application Timestamp: 461430cf Fault Module Name: StackHash_0b2c Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: ffff0355 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0b2c Additional Information 2: 0b2c411fde802aed3d54fc14ec173e0c Additional Information 3: 7309 Additional Information 4: 73094f8ae6d0654a3d0357f3a82d3c17 Any one know what I can do to fix this?

One of the more popular ways to get the guard uniforms is to open the consol menu and use the coc testinghall code and grab them out of the armor room. A second option is using the console again and adding them to a players inventory. (Codes for guards armor an gear can be found at http://www.uesp.net/ this is the Unofficial Elder Scrolls wiki). Finally one last option for those wanting to play guards and robbers is to simply add extra uniforms them selves using the CS. Simply create a (barrel/wardrobe/foot locker) in the guardhouse('s) the you wish to visit and name it extra uniforms. I did this a back in September last year when I wanted to do some screen shots. At the time i didn't want to jump threw several hoops for the additional uniforms. And this was easy since it did nothing to really change the overall game.

I had an external hard drive that got wiped over the week. On it where a large number of WinRAR's of armor, clothing, and landscape mods. This includes a few of Krista armors, One that I had really liked that she made was called the Dagger Master. It was a well made male armor that worked with the Robert body and I was hoping that some one might have a copy that they could link me. I would link a picture but they where also on the wiped drive. So far my Google searches for this armor keep taking to a site called the Lovers Lab, but all they had are the female armors that Krista made. No Dagger Master. Managed to find some images from http://blog.livedoor.jp/oblivion_susume/ The site links back to the Russian site Anvil Bay but does not show any other sites that host the ESP, Mesh or Texture files. http://i922.photobucket.com/albums/ad65/Sam_Meade/22509dc7-s.jpg

Anyone know where "Elsweyr: Deserts of Anequina" is?
Aurasoma replied to Chrisroxdye's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Try this address. Had to look for it myself and found a few post that lliana welcomed the mod being posted any where but Nexus. No real reason was given as to why. I just hope that if I get any thing for sharing that like its "Thanks for sharing". that or a warning that the nexus sponsors and lliana had issues and I should not have done that, not the "Ban Hammer" that most people seem to get. -
That was my first thought. I also tried starting a clean save with just the Oblivion.esm, then added the Better City.esm and esp one at a time save/close between each. The crash happens when the Better City.esp is added. Update. After banging my head against the wall for a second day I opted to use the Better Cities Chorrol mod rather then start with a new file. Was able to get it working as a city stage.

If I recall correctly the CM partner quest text comes up just after you exit the tutorial tunnel into the world space. COCing out tends to mess with the game, I've done it also and had issues with it not triggering. COCing out affected a number of other quest from starting such as the info to see the Archeology Guild for Lost Spires and to see Snak Gra-Bura for horse armor. The tunnel save is one good way to get around this problem. Another is to use a alternate start mod such as Alternate Start Revamped. I've been using it for new games for a while now and each time the CM partner quest triggers after you get your house key or once you step off the boat in Anvil Harbor.

So I've been doing screen captures for a while now using the all ready existing parts of the game. But in the last year I started playing with the CS and the Cm Partner mod to give me more of a set and actors. But this week I found myself in a bit of a pickle I wanted to make a copy of the city world spaces. My intent was to have the duplicate city world space, so I could have the empty stages to do all sorts of stuff with. While keeping the normal game worlds unchanged. But I keep getting stuck at step three. Step one (so far) is to load the default Oblivion ESM, Better Cities.ESM and ESP and CM Partners.ESM and ESP with no active ESP. Step two is Duplicate the city world spaces and step three is save the new AtWiaS.ESP. At step three is where I have issues. As soon as I click the save button or select it from the file selection I get a pop up that states that the TES CS has stopped working. Any help or suggestions are welcome.

Never mind, problem is now solved.

All right so I built this new faster stronger system because the old one could not handle Skyrim for 30 seconds with out crashing to the desk top. But first I had to upload Oblivion from steam, Problem is once I click the launcher I get nothing but a black screen followed by a crash report :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: Now I've tried this three times, the first time I had loaded a few mods OBMM and OBSE 20. This got me to the loading screen before it would freeze and I'd have to Ctrl, Alt, Delete my way out. The second and third times the only ESP that was on is the Oblivion.esm and it just crash to the desk to after pressing play. Now understand I'm not a Noob so I've looked at some of the other issues some people have had same problem and I've tried a few of those. This includes the windows service packs and having Steam installed in a file on a secondary drive. Any help? :psyduck: Oh yeah also Skyrim played like a dream.

Agreed, TES4Gecko is great for combining several mods into one. How ever it does have an issue of removing scripts from the mod's its combining.
