  1. In response to post #60455957. As i said in my original post it was my personally opinion, I dont know if it was right or wrong, It was just my feedback. As for the CC its the bane of my existence, In regards to it forcing content down our throat, With no way to Opt-Out of its auto-download of CC mods. I have no issues with payed mods, After all, It does nothing but offer users the option to buy extra content for there games. My point i was trying to hit on was, I didnt want to see the smaller mod authors, That havent got there foot into the door of the Nexus, Just to draw the small stick of the draw. The more incentive Nexus gives to its creators the more the site grows, Along side its community and mods. As for the Partnership idea, It was nothing but an idea and i have more faith in the Nexus whos had years in the business dealing with mod creators and mods, Then Bethesda that seems to be all about the money. I didnt mean to stir up the conversation.
  2. In response to post #60451267. +1 Fully agree.
  3. First off i would like to say a big "Thank You!" to the community and the authors of Nexus for all there mods & content they allow us to use for free. And would also like to add that I think that every one should get paid for there work regardless. My Feedback, on the subject. - - - I personally, this could damage the Nexus from my view, As ive always see the Nexus as a neutral moding platform. And if Nexus start rewarding based on download traffic, Then there just feeding the already larger mod, That will already be getting donations to support there mods. This being said i dont think the larger mods shouldnt be getting rewarded for having there content hosted on the Nexus as they could take there content else where, Yet they stay loyal to the Nexus. But i do feel like this could be going towards the smaller mod authors out there as an incentive for them to continue creating/update there mods and to create some thing special. I would rather see Nexus make some form of "Creator Partnership" system where a mod author can sign up, And if there mod meets X criteria they get rewarded for there creations. Alongside mod support contests that the community can vote for? I hope the Nexus flourishs, As its the best place for modding and mods a like. The Creation Club, is the bane of my existence...
  4. Is it me or does the fallout 4 mod community seem to be on the mend? Im enjoying the mods that are getting released more and more these days. Keep up the great work guys.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't yet another mod theft again, Via the console Beth mods system, Its a dam shame to see yet another Major mod disappear, At that a mod that was setting a modding mile stone for fixing such a large issue with the game. Im sad to see this mod go. However, Fallout 4 is currently dying in my eyes, Im really thinking about going back to Fallout: New Vegas, and uninstalling Fallout 4. Till all this stuff calms down and beth fixs mod theft. As its not just damaging its modding community but actually pulling it apart.
  6. Its a dam shame, As i've already seen the massive amounts of mods being taken off or hidden on the nexus due to this reason. I also have a friend who was going to build an ammo crafting system like Fallout New Vegas, but hes been put him off due to the reason issues with mod theft. Is there no way to encrypt or force mods to only work on the PC? maybe a Fallout 4 Script Extender Script check? As consoles dont have access to Script Extender, It would render there work useless for the consoles? Untill the auther officaly uploads his work to the consoles.
  7. In response to post #37681350. I second this. +1
  8. Just tired to support the website by disabling my ad blocker, First thoughts what a mistake! All was fine, Till i left NMM downloading a few mods in the background, I left the Nexus website up as i intended to go back and use the website after the downloads had finished. Then out of no where i got an autoplay audio ad, Advertising an Android Game. First off it scared the crap out of me as i was unaware of where it was coming from, Then i relized it must have been an Ad on my browser. Resulting in me instantly closes the Nexus website.... Surly this isnt what your looking for your users to do right? Now my issue with the Ads mainly is the fact, The Ads are not per-page Ads, They refresh the Ads on the page endlessly. And i personally think this needs to be addressed ASAP. My main question though would be, Why would you allowing such intrusive ads to be hosted on your website?
  9. So I've not played FO:NV for a while just started a new game up, and forgot how much i missed it. And i had an idea when i found a DLC access point. Is there any way to bring the companions from all the DLC's into the Main game? I know this isn't realistic because in the DLC story they go there own ways. However i remember playing some of the DLC's and really enjoying the Companions from them and think it would be cool just to have t hem in the main game. Obviously if you could some how hook it in, so you had to have completed the DLC for the companion to become available for you in the main game and make them have a default home out side the DLC entry points? - Boris
  10. Greetings all, So i've just finished the Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout New Vegas and loved it. However i was a little disappointed with the flare gun as it doesnt emit any light on a night. And thats when it clicked that Fallout New Vegas doesnt have dark nights and it was due to a mod i had installed. Its easy to forget whats vanilla and whats not.. running so many... - - - - So my request would be could any one make the Flare Gun emit a balanced amount of light and make the flare last atlest double if not triple the duration to be used as a light source. I've seen a mod that makes a brand new flare gun called: "Light My Flare" on nexus. But its not to my liking and would be cool if the flare gun thats already in the game could have some real use other then a weapon. Kind regards - Boris
