  1. Chapters 1-3 are on the Nexus. Read, Rate, Comment, and Enjoy!
  2. As am I. Thanks, man. In better news, despite BethSoft giving me such a verbal thrashing, I think I may end up simply posting the work I have done so far up on the Nexus for download. Free fan fiction it is, then. Enjoy, I suppose. It'll be up shortly, and cut me some slack writing-wise, I am by no means a professional writer. Search for 'Oathfast' on TesNexus, you'll find it. If you don't find it, I haven't put it up yet. Thanks, all.
  3. UPDATE: Three chapters finished. That's it. Motivation has been down....first of all, work has conflicted greatly with the novel, I am about to be outsourced and this is obviously NOT good. Not only that, but I was partially intending for the book to be a seller, made to make me money as well as entertain and satisfy fellow TES junkies. I contacted Bethesda however, and was blatantly told that if I were to try to publish the novel, even if I gave them copywright credit and acknowledgement, they would press charges for infringement. This is because of hte official novel 'The Infernal City' is soon to arrive on shelves and is their only officially sponsored effort to the literature world, besides its sequel. Therefore, any hope of making money is dashed if I wanted to avoid prison or fines that would simply make me poorer. The most I can promise is to release 'Oathfast' as fan fiction and not as a commercial product, but due to the fact that this has less luster to me, I am afraid that the novel will come out much later than originally intended. Sorry, all.
  4. Certainly. I can have it to you in....2-4 weeks. Obviously I can't spend all my time on it, but it'll be quick work.
  5. Perfect. As I am just starting college myself and am not on an English focus, my writing may of course not be at a professional standard. But yes, this sounds great. Sorry King Modzzr, but an ex-editor english major....can't beat that. Acrylic, thanks very much. I'll send you the first 10 chapters when they are complete.
  6. Hah. Thanks. Basically all i need is someone to check it out, kick any writing errors spell/grammar check may've missed and most of all, tell me what they think of it. I need an opinion mostly. Something to honestly tell me if it's worth the effort or that they think my writing plain blows. Quite a simple job, really.
  7. As a few members of the Nexus are aware, I have been working on a series of Elder Scrolls novels to be published at an unknown point in time. It is possible they may remain solely on the internet. These happen to have the misfortune to be emerging while an offical novel 'The Infernal City,' sanctioned by Bethesda itself, is also to come out. The idea for the first novel is thus: 3E 433: As the Oblivion Crisis is just beginning in Cyrodiil, Morrowind is not free of troubles itself. The death of the Tribunal has left the nation reeling, as factions struggle to take power over the divided land. The Nerevarine is gone to Akavir, and Great Houses feud ever harder for dominance over one another. When the Great House Telvanni refuses to comply with a royal verdict abolishing slavery, the Twin Lamps take action. A single strike at Tel Aruhn changes the face of Vvardenfell forever, and a hero rises from the flames to unite the land. However, his purpose may not be as benign as the land might think. The first three chapters are complete as of 7/26/09. The main reason I post this is to get some aid. I need an editor quite badly. My original editor, 'gotxbrains,' is detained for unkown reasons and after seizing a copy of the first bit of the book, has faded out of existence entirely it seems. Therefore, I need a replacement. Any volunteers please either post or PM me. Comments on the novel's premise are also welcome. Thanks all. ~henrydossle
  8. You got it. I'll stick around. PM me when it's all done and if it's "feasible." I'll still be happy to join. Your idea is very intriguing. As for ideas, perhaps the port towns you come across can hire the player as a strongarm on trade boats and sometimes may be attacked by priates out at sea? The player and crew would have to defend the cargo and personnel and the reward could depend on how many crew members survived. Just a thought. Of course, that might be rather difficult to accomplish, but the vanilla quest "An Unexpected Voyage" might eb a good starting point. Teleport the ship to an empty ocean cell and have an enemy ship nearby with hostiles on board. I'll think of more stuff eventually.
  9. Yeah, Kumiko Manor is GREAT! I personally like lots of space, multiple bedrooms, NPC's to share it with (servants or maybe just roommates) and large gardens. Stables are always a nice edition, but a little outdated when you have an airplane like quite a few do. I think that the best part of all is a large tower where all services imaginable are obtainable, from spellmaking o a smithy. Good luck!
  10. You say that you are no good with words and writing. I am the opposite. I write, but am no good with modding. My one idea, giant cheese that you can script to mount and ride through the air, is up for grabs, as I utterly failed. But to the point, I volunteer myself to do any writing/idea-making that you require from me, that is, if someone else isn't doing it for you already. Thanks.
