  1. Hey folks, sorry, I'm a bit late for this, but still wanted to participate... I've whitelisted nexusmods for almost a year now, I think... The main problem with the ads - for me - is they extremely slow down the site, and even with the Report this ad button it's fairly hard to tell which of the ads slows it down so much. I assume it's the sum of just 4 ads, which is fairly not much - but if all ads some Flash or Java, or all the other scripts in background, to display moving pictures (even if they are not epilepsy-triggering) is simply too much. It has become better already, it was worse some time ago. At the moment, alone the ads consume probably three or more times the traffic the page normaly would (except for the downloads). So whenever you click on a link you feel like you browser has to download 10MB of website data, to display one new page. That's the problem with the ads (as South Park portrayed it last year: Today's Ads have a life of their own...). Let me just note that my rig isn't exactly state-of-the-art, but still runs Fallout 4 on Medium settings quite well so let's assume the computer isn't too weak ;) @the admins: If you haven't done it before (but you probably have) try to open nexusmods one time with adblocker (in my case adblock plus in Chrome) disabled, browse a few sites, and then compare it to when you enable your adblocker. It suddenly feels like the whole page loads immediatly. So in my opinion this overall slowdown also should be adressed, but I've seen other users mentioned it as well so let's hope this works out! :)
