    Yes, that worked. The Companions quest C01 in the CK was scripting Farkas to wear steel armor, changing the wolf armor I added as his default outfit. Changing the variable in C01 to the wolf armor I wanted fixed it. There was no need to write a new script. Incidentally, the script for the same quest also changes Aela's default outfit, as well as the weapons they both use. Odd since she never goes on that quest. Thanks again for the suggestion.

  2. It will be really something if you get it to work! OK, if we are sure factions are not the cause, maybe there is an issue with the NPC's AI? For example, there is a way to use the command console to remove AI from NPCs so that they just stand in one place, don't speak and take no action. What you are describing sounds similar.
  3. Thanks Aruberikku for the suggestion. Yes, I tried that and tested it in game. He wears the Companion Wolf Armor till I fast jump. Then he wears his original steel armor, with the Wolf Armor helmet. After he turns into a werewolf and turns back (during the quest Proving Honor) he has the steel armor with no helmet.

     

    I'm wondering if using a script to remove the steel and equip the wolf armor will work.

  4. I'm sure this has been asked before, but damned if I can't find the answer! I'm making a mod that, among other things, changes the default armor for one of the Companions Farkas. His default is steal armor, and I changed it to Wolf Armor. But when I test it in game, he removes the Wolf Armour after leaving a building. He still has the Wolf Armor helmet, but reverts back to steal armor.

     

    My question: Am I missing something? Or if changing the default armor for the NPC in the Creation Kit will not work, is there some script that might do the trick?

  6. Hi. I'm new to modding and would like to learn how to have a courier deliver a letter that creates a quest marker on a world object. Watching YouTube videos is not helpful, as the display on my laptop is too small to see what the heck the guy is doing with the creation kit. Something with step-by-step instructions and a few screenshots of the CK is what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.
